First off, here is my build:

Strength: 47.92
Blocking: 8
Speed: 40.75
Tackling: 8
Agility: 49.35
Throwing: 75.72
Jumping: 14.75
Catching: 14.75
Stamina: 27.5
Carrying: 14.75
Vision: 48.48
Kicking: 8
Confidence: 28.11
Punting: 8

I've been watching a lot of game film on him lately and while he did great in the preseason I noticed there were a lot of plays where I had guys open on the slant and he'd force it to a covered reciever. Coming into the season, same thing. There were open recievers on slant routes and he'd force it long, throwing INTs (not favoring long passes FYI).

First thing I think of course, VISION (I'm only hitting the first cap at 48.48). Second thing I think, CONFIDENCE(?).

I'd really appreciate some advice, though I may have already answered my own question.

WR on a deep route cuts long and gets open just before he passes incomplete into triple coverage

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=263566&pbp_id=825730

WR Kyro slants into endzone open and he forces it to the corner for a (not deserved) TD.

Both the TE & the WR on the right pulled open deep and he forced the pass for the INT TD. (this is a big one that bothered me)

Well - that first play, I don't think the deep route is really open. He's covered by both the CB and a LB. Try pausing the play just before the QB throws and you'll see that the deep route is covered fairly well. As soon as the QB throws the ball, the defense closes on the receiver - so it looks like he's open after the throw. But he's not open before the throw.

The 2nd play - the QB chose to throw to a WR in single coverage in the endzone. I don't think that's a bad decision. His other choices were a TE and a WR who were bunched up in the middle of the field, outside the endzone, with 3 defenders nearby. Or a HB in single coverage who probably isn't as good at catching the ball. So I think this was probably a smart choice - especially if your WR has an advantage over the CB.

3rd play - yep, that one wasn't good. I'd blame vision mostly.

I had the same problem with my QB throwing into triple coverage (although still completing the pass) when my TE and other WR were completely open with a chance of taking it to the house.

Like you said, your vision and condfidence could and should be higher, but this is what one of the GM's on my team posted in our forum:

So that may come into play as well.

get vision and str up to 55-60 and get your confidence up to cap.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.

All stuff I was considering myself, seems I was right. I'll be getting vision and strength up and then cap confidence.

Also, on the second play the SS was coming in to get a sack. Your QB had to throw it at that point and he made the right choice.
