Alright it looks like a lot of you around the forum want to see some power rankings so I am going to give some to you. Here it goes.
1. Mighty Chihuahuas
Sure these guys are still ranked #1 right now but their is a since that the gap has really narrowed. I checked out their roster and they have made hardly any moves to improve it. Now, these guys are still a threat and the best in the west, but all of the sudden it feels that a 16-0 season is unlikely. We will al find out in a few days.
2. Beantown Bastards
I could see 4 other teams in this position but as of now Beantown looks like the best candidate. They out level almost every team in the league, and out level Mighty in a few areas. The key to their succes is if they can get good gameplans and good sims. If they can produce these good gameplans then they are one of the favorites to take the league this year.
3. Washington Wookiees
Again you could pick out a few teams that deserve to go here, but I think Washington looks like the best. It is no secret that the Wookies had the best recruiting class by far and their roster certainly proves that. They took a team of inactive agents and replaced them with superstars and that is something to be proud of. On a league related notte, I can see Washington upset MIghty with some good game planning and if they can keep up this league recruiting they even have a shot at a championship.
4. Dallas Hitmen
The team looks pretty solid right now and we are signing all our free agents on day 1. The 1-4 spots are really all even at this point so these guys should contend with the top 3. Again some good game planning is going to be key in how well this team does and having an inside look I think we are going to be good in that area. If we can keep up the recruiting and game planning then I can see us win a championship.
5. Big Bear Avalanche
They were demoted last year but from an unbiased stand point these guys are really not that bad. From an outsiders view they have a solid roster and one that could compete with the Big 4. I have seen many cases though were teams have all horrible builds and bad game planning and lose a lot of games. (see the Montana Crow franchise) If these guys are not one of those teams then they can compete but saying they will win the league is a stretch. If they do turn nout horrible, they should make the playoffs but will not be much of a threat. Only time will tell the answer.
6. Long Beach Dub All-Stars
It looks like they decided to field a team, even though some are inactive and their depth lacks. I know that LBD has good gameplans, but BullFrog has made it clear that he has little interest in this game and that could play a big role in how the overall performance actually is. It will really matter on that factor if these guys will be a contender or pretender. If BullForog becomes active though, other teams just have too much talent and I can not see them any higher then 4th and that is a stretch.
The rest coming soon!
