How do you deal with your FB being a better runner than the HB and you only get the shit carries? Not even getting the goal line easy walk in Td's!

Clockwise, two cards per player. Burn one, three community cards, burn one, one community, burn one, one community.

finish your contract or make a post to your team forum and try and get placed in the HB spot.

If you're a better runner than the RB and your owners/coordinators/GMs don't realize this they're retarded and hurting the team.

If a FB is carrying the rock better than a HB there's no reason not to be using the FB to carry the ball, end of story.

You may be a better runner, but if you're the only FB on the team you can't count on too many carries, as the HBs aren't good enough blockers to support you. Average rusher + good blocker will usually get more yards than good rusher + no/poor blocker.

Anyway, I knew what I was doing when I made my first FB. If I cared a lot about carries I'd have made an HB.

You're assuming that that HB with a blocking FB is doing better than the OP running the ball though. As small of chance as this may be, that might not necessarily be the case. If the FB is average a better YPC, more broken tackles, et cetera (is just all around superior), the GMs are hurting the team by not utilizing the better yard producer.

It might just be that the FB with the rock, any type of lead run blocking aside, is simply getting more yards and, if that's the case, the FB should absolutely be getting the rock.

Dude...there is NOTHING better than watching your FB (& TE) get out lead-blocking in front of a HB and knocking people's dicks in the dirt. As the HB runs by, I can almost hear him saying "thanks". Anybody can build a good rushing HB . . . it takes an artist to build the perfect FB.

EDIT: In reply to Kavadas, not PBer.

Sure, and it's fairly obvious, but I've yet to see that happen on any of the teams I've been on so it's very much a theoretical question. Note that I'm also referring to the situation the OP is in; being the lone FB on a team. If you have a good lead blocker to block for an FB playing at HB, then it's a different story, and I know teams who've had a lot of success with FBs playing purely as HBs. Lead blocking is still, for some odd reason, vastly underrated by many.

FBs rushing from the FB position is really only something to use in short yardage situations when you don't have a power HB. Sometimes FBs whining about carries have a valid point, but the vast majority of the time it's a case of them wanting more carries despite being worse rushers than the HB.

It's been said that FB and TE are two of the toughest builds (LB being the other) because they have so many responsibilities. I'll say FB have a "tougher" edge on TE because in addition to sharing Blocking and Catching duties w/TE, FB also carry the ball out of the backfield and have to Spot Blitz in passing situations.

Its not really the amount of carries that suck, its the goal line Td's that are taken away and the only running up the gut that sucks.

OT: Safeties have more responsibilities and harder to make a good one imo(haven't made one).

Anyway, I think it is better to know your role. FB are supposed to be more of good blocker than to be good in carry compared to HB. BUT if your not getting the carries that would have been more appropriate to your FB like short yardage situation when the team your in don't have a power HB there then maybe you should talk to your OC or post in the team forums and tell them what you think.

You don't consider the added bonuses of having a FB in the power back role... versatility. With the new tactics, you can use the "Alstott" FB on deep passes to block, on top of having the "traditional" FB in there (pro and I-formation sets). The "Alstott" FB can also back-up the "traditional" FB, giving him optimal rest. Plus you can throw the "Alstott" FB in with the speed HB, using them as receivers out of the back field. Not to mention that an "Alstott" FB saves you a roster spot (or at least the cash of having to have an extra player).

A good OC knows how to utilize the "Alstott" build FB, for maximum effect.

Yah, I haven't considered that. My idea was a bit around the traditional FB. But regardless, I think he should just tell the OC or post in his team forums and tell what he thinks is wrong. That is how I would deal with it.
