Has anyone tried a college style spread offense yet? With about 80% shotgun plays.

edit: Now that I look like an idiot, is anyone trying to do so?
I have one set of tactics that is "based" on a Texas Tech/Missouri offense of spreading the field in every direction mixed with the screen pass, simple draws and off tackles. I have a good set of tactics set up, and I am anxious as shit to try them.

I doubt anyone has tried it, since no games have been played

If you have a good QB and good WR, it's probably a good idea to try. Could definitely exploit teams that aren't deep at CB.

I'm going to attempt an all-shotgun game in the preseason, see how it goes.

I am running a spread/wco hybrid. We will see how it goes.

As a DC, I'd love for you to try that. With the new playbook, those are the easiest formations to defend against IMO.

What about singleback 3WR with the occasional off tackle run? Good luck.

I will try to run a spread O this season, mainly with 5 WR sets, for every WR type of routes.

Go Red Raiders btw

No one does inputs based on number of WRs anymore.

I will play your 3 wide shotgun and your 3 wide single back completely differently.

You know we can scheme against specific formations still, right?

There aren't enough plays out the shotgun to run an effective spread, IMO.

Think whatever you want. I already know a team who did it last year without the new AI. Singleback 3WR, Shotgun 3WR, and Shotgun 5WR are plenty.
