From what I have read I should raise my kicking to 2nd soft cap first and then work on the rest is that right? ALso what should I be spending my training points on and what should what exactly should I do for training the intense or normal? ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I would have said wait to boost, because if you can't find a team then you're out your boost flex points.
I would take kicking to the 3rd or 4th cap first before anything else (depending on your ultimate goal) and then take confidence up there as well. These two skills should be your early focus as they gain the most from the level bonus. While you're continuing to move kicking up you can train vision/confidence on intense, or just confidence on Normal.
Intense is the best way to go if you're interested in maxing Skill Points or buying Advanced Equipment. There are some who believe with positions like kickers with a small number of primaries that normal training is the way to go since it allows you to move a skill up ASAP. I haven't gotten around to running the numbers to know if it buys you much. My gut says it may help a little, but I think the points you gain will be evened out by the SPs you lose by not getting bonus tokens.
Once you've got kicking to 3rd of 4th cap and confidence to the first cap train str or vis with any combination of jumping/agility/speed. From here on out training on anything but intense is a waste of SPs or Bonus Tokens (unless of course you want to go shopping)
