Just found this weird. I've been experimenting with my team's defense this postseason, and my team had a team rush defense rating of only 21. With that 21 rating, the four teams I scrimmaged against had the following amount of rushing yards, in order:

224.5 yards(which I would expect), 6.6 ypc
-3.5 yards, -0.3 ypc
35.5 yards, 1.5 ypc
21 yards, 2.4 ypc

(My team won all but the third game, the 35.5 yards game)

Yet on the other hand, I've rarely if ever seen an "upset" happen (where a team with a lower overall rating beat a team with a higher overall rating.) Are the matchup stats not worth the virtual paper it's printed on, or am I missing something?

Louisville used to regularly beat teams with a "higher" rating.

There is always a "upset" when the Samurai play.We were rated as the best team via the matchup page, but we lost to 5 teams

Also Detroit Demon Lions in USA Pro League is a good example of that too. We are almost always outleveled by 3 or more overall points and still do very well.
