I don't know if anybody has done the detailed research yet (Beyond what I have just done), but with sold teams and gutted teams being moved down to BBB, it means a lot of us stand a chance to move up. Based on what I found going up to AA so far (AAA and Pro involve too much uncertainty to yield accurate results), here is what we are almost certainly looking at:

USA A #3:
4 relegated teams
3-5 gutted teams
3 CPU teams

USA AA #2:
4 relegated teams
1 gutted team
3 CPU teams

Divided equally among the leagues, that means for the 6:
6 teams move down from A #3
2 teams move down from AA #2

Divided equally between conferences, you get 4 in each, which means based on what I've found, the top four teams in each conference will be moving up to A #3 for sure next season. Putting that into Bort's super duper formula for determining who wins the jackpot, the following teams should anticipate a promotion:

Western Conference
Seattle Fish n Chips (Automatic)
Minnesota Lumberjacks
Portland Aftershocks
Coruscant Death Stars

Eastern Conference
Cleveland Gladiators (Automatic)
College Station Stallions
Miami Brawlers
Virginia Hustlers

Based on conjecture and what happens in AAA and Pro Leagues (Teams being sold back at season's end, for example), the following teams have a decent chance of being Promoted to USA A #3

Western Conference
Louisiana Ragin Cajuns
Norfolk Nighthawks

Eastern Conference
Chicago Storm
Chicago Commandos

That about sums it up for now. If anybody has anything to add, or that I may have missed, feel free to do so.

I hope you're right. We don't come around here and smack or anything, but I'd HATE to get separated from Cleveland, Miami, and College Station at this point. And even though we never play, I like being in the same league as you guys, too. ;D

Only problem I see is that I am unable to find any mention of gutted or over matched teams being relegated. The language used was CPU teams. If that is the case there really are not that many. Am I wrong?

I'll have to find the announcement, but Bort did mention that he would probably go through and manually relegate slow build or obviously gutted teams. There aren't that many (Maybe 1 or 2 per conference/league), but that little amount might be enough to move a team from our league on up. Either way, I feel confident about the top 4 teams moving up, less confident after that. I think it's a stretch to say anything beyond the top 4 to 6 teams per conference will move.

I feel sorry for any decent teams that are left in BBB. Playing low level teams is 0 fun.

It will be a long season this year for the Cajuns, I brought some guys over from a team I GM'd that went CPU. If we stay put and all the other guys leave. It will be 255-0 all season long....

I think there will be enough room for the Cajuns to move up. There are a quite a few CPU teams, but even more teams that are not in the right league.

I think after tonight there will possibly be quite a few more CPU teams.

If the Chicago's move up and Bud Dry doesn't then something is wrong. We handled the Storm and the Commando's games have been very good in recent seasons. Why in the world did we kick a field goal on 4th and 1 from their 4 down by 5 with less than a minute to go? Then add the fact that our West matchup has always been against a top team while seemingly the teams we're battling for higher seeds gets the gutted CPU team. We beat the team that only 2 others can say in the East. Plus were neck and neck against Miami and CSS. If they look at Playoff seeding, then yeah we're screwed. But Bud Dry can compete with any East team moving up.

And I think we'll be stuck going 14+ wins in BBB #6 in Season 6.

Well, I'm really disappointed with that process. This season is going to be very boring. Good luck in the next tier guys!

I don't think they looked at playoff seeding, just playoff results? I may be wrong but that is what I understand...I do agree though that ya'll do a very good job of competing with every team in BBB6. If not for our stroke of luck upsetting #1 seed Miami in the playoffs, I have a feeling we'd be playing season 6 in BBB with you.

Either way, you guys should move up for sure after this season.

This sucks, The Cajuns were left behind and we are an overall 51 team, this year will not be fun at all for us. I'm glad to see some great teams move up like they should have, but this year in the BBB for us.........

Those of you who got left behind, you should try and contact one of the suckier teams from A #3. It appears that Bort is allowing trades for teams who want to move down a league.

Yeah no kidding. I saw that an 0-16 team got left in A-ball. Really? So they can be more competitive in A-Ball than any of us BBB#6 playoff teams?
