Does anyone knosw of any guide or links to plays that show the different defensive formations in each shell and where the players move to in each shell?

For example: In a 4-3 Cover 2 the FS and SS are back deep. In the 4-3 Cover 1 the SS moves over the TE.

So is there a guide showing where the players move to in each defensive formation and shell? Like Dime Cover 0, where do the safeties go?

Is there anyway to get a LB lined up at a CB spot?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know of a guide, but in response to your last question, I'm pretty sure if you have a 4-3 vs a 3 wide set that one of your lbs will split out if in man to man coverage.

What about getting a LB lined up at a CB position vs a 2 WR formation?

4-3 Cover 2 (or 1) Man coverage vs. a 3 WR set will have the ROLB split out to cover WR #3.

I can't think of a way to force it other than to switch your depth chart.

I also can't imagine why you want to do it.

And this post reeks of raging sarcasm or supreme appreciation. Sorry if my post offended you for being basic, but it's the only way I know to make this happen.

Well I was thinking that in certain cover shells the WR gets double teamed. So if I could get a LB to line up double teaming the WR I could blitz him from that position and still have the WR covered.
Trying to visualize it and I can't quite figure it out.

No, I wasn't being sarcastic at all. I do appreciate the help and your time. I wasn't trying to offend anyone, least of all someone trying to help me out.

I tried building a spreadsheet that shows every assignment for the LBs and secondary in every conceivable situation - I filled in most of the slots, but some were hard to get reproduced in a game.

As a result, there are a lot of defensive combinations I don't use anymore...if you're not careful you'll end up with an LB on a WR, or guys uncovered...its not pretty out there.

Stick with what you know works.

i might try some crazy stuff in scrimmage games next season, but definitely not in a regular season game unless i am sure of it.
