Anybody planning on doing an All-Pro team at the end of the season?

I'd be happy to do it if nobody else was going to. Probably wouldn't have a chance to do it until the teams I GM were both out of the playoffs though. (Which hopefully won't be soon!)

Too much damn work LOL. Plus it's difficult to get everyone to participate. Should have started it a few weeks ago if you wanted to get enough ballots in.

Indeed, but you can start with the Rockets Oline, and go from their

I wasn't really going to do ballots, just a quick stat run around and see who's got the goods.

That way you can yell at ME when you don't make it! lol

If you can find another MLB with my stats... Also take into consideration that our offense boasts two 2,000 yards backs, so I don't play that much. LOL

The dramatic decline in talent when you get to the bottom 4 teams in the East make it hard to say who should be "All-Pro" just based on stats.

The problem is that really good teams can score TOO easy against them on Kick, Punt and INT returns. For example against Atlanta this season the Bandits scored on 9 punt returns and 1 INT return. That kept our offense off the field and greatly inflated our special teams numbers. I actually had to move our FB to return man the next game (against another new team) to make sure our offense got on the field instead of our special teams scoring almost at will. However when a mid-tier team like Florida plays one of those teams, their return men don't put up hundreds upon hundreds of yards and so instead their offense gets those yards. That is how Florida put up about 3,000 yards of offense (2,000 rushing and almost 1,000 passing) in the first 2 games and will finish with over 9,000 yards of offense despite being the 7th or 8th place team.

I'm more interested in how a player performs when it matters when determining who is "All-Pro"

Though I agree Huntsville's O-line should all be considered All-Pro no matter what, you can't argue with their stats.

I actually started to post a thread up here with all the team (not individual player because that would be WAY too time consuming) stats after subtracting the results of their games against the bottom 4 teams just to see what they look like when they are faced with legitimate competition. However that was still a bit of work and I've been playing some of the myriad of great PC/console games that have come out in the last 2 weeks in my free time. I'm lazy, what can I say?

Def gotta look at the Hartford safeties, MLB, and CB #2. Also, the HB and OL did well enough for at least HM.

Ray Lewis has 30 sacks in his CAREER... If you're getting sacks, you should be playing LOLB. MLB is a run stopper.

Maybe I just like to stop 'em before the line of scrimmage. *shrug*

I guess what I'm saying is that there's a lot of ways you can employ a middle linebacker. Jeremiah Trotter and Jack Lambert were certainly not used in schemes like Ray Lewis - the Ravens could bring the house a lot more since they had such lockdown defensive backs.

Anyway, I guess I shouldn't have taken the bait when you asked for an MLB with better stats - the only thing I hate more than rankings and predictions is e-peen contests. Look, we use our MLBs differently and we're both justifiably proud of our their contributions to our team. Let's just let it go at at that.
