Tulsa prevailed in a defensive struggle last week, shutting down #3 Fremont en route to a 16-5 victory. The #1 defense in the league will be put to the test, as they board the team bus and head to French Lick for a matchup with the #1 offense in the league. Can Tulsa lock their opponent down for the second game in a row?
FIGHTING FOR HOME GAMES
2) Walla Walla Wackers (last week #2)
Walla Walla is proving that their loss to French Lick was a fluke, and are firmly establishing themselves as the #2 team in the league. They've got the #2 seed firmly in their grasp, and it seems unlikely that the team formerly known as Hobbs Gerbil Wranglers will do anything about that.
3) Fremont Warriors (last week #3)
Fremont felt the #2 seed slip through their fingers with a disappointing loss to the Teamsters, and it won't be easy to regain. Walla Walla has an easier final two games, and Fremont will need to maintain focus to overcome LaCrosse and the best HB in the league.
4) Island Shaka Brah's (last week #5)
The Shaka Brah's don't get upset. They've only lost to teams #1, 2, and 3. The Chicago Shockers will have to work to even keep this one close. The Shaka Brah's look to have a first round home game locked up.

5) French Lick Liquors (last week #4)
After a disappointing loss to South Georgia, the Liquors had to endure the taunts of commentators who believed they threw the game. They will be looking to disprove all doubters against a dominant Tulsa team in today's **Game of the Week** With the #1 defense and a strong offense, Tulsa looks to have no weaknesses. Let's see if French Lick can expose some.
6) LaCrosse RiverRats (last week #6)
As of right now, LaCrosse holds the 5 seed by virtue of their head-to-head win over French Lick early in the year. However, they will have to keep up with French Lick to hold it, and have two vicious opponents upcoming. Today they look to slow down the #1 rushing attack of the Fremont Warriors, and next week they get the East's Rutgers Silent Willies.
7) South Georgia Growl(last week #8)
The South Georgia Growl move up on the strength of an impressive win over French Lick. The Growl showed that they have a running attack to be feared. Look for them to run all over Smash Mouth today. The real test will be next week, when they take on the East's Washington Caps.
8) Las Vegas Villians (last week #7)
The Villians beat South Georgia head-to-head, but that was NOT the South Georgia team that showed up last week against French Lick. The Villians will need to keep pace with the Growl in order to avoid a first-round matchup with the Teamsters; however, they'll be heavily favored in their final two matchups and should retain the 7 seed with ease.
JUST MISS THE CUT
9) Washington Blitz (last week #9)
The Blitz are on a 4-game losing streak, but should pull out of it and save whatever fan support they have left as they play the Tulsa Doom today. And they'd better get the W, because they will probably not be favored in their final game against a good Mid-Michigan team from the East.
10) Lone Star Leopards (last week #10)
The Leopards stomped the Smash Mouth Silverbacks as expected last week, and though the margin won't be quite the same, they should cruise to a win over Rhode Island today as well. They finish with the Maribel Shock Therapy, which have scored exactly 2 TDs all year, and none since changing their name mid-season. Needless to say, Lone Star is looking at a 6-10 season, and will probably be a playoff team next year after the mass restructuring.
REBUILDING TAKES TIME
11) Tulsa Doom (last week #11)
The Doom got beaten handily by Island Shaka Brah's. They get their last real chance for a win this week against the Washington Blitz. They won't be favored, but crazier things have happened. They won't have nearly as much of a chance against the East's Boston Drunks.
12) Chicago Shockers (last week #12)
The Shaka Brah's just crushed the Doom, and the Shockers probably won't fare much better. Fortunately, they close with one of the weakest Eastern teams, the Michigan Blues. One more win would make their season record look so much better. 3-13 just doesn't look competitive.
13) Rhode Island Revolutionaries (last week #13)
Rhode Island scored ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX POINTS!!1! against the Austin Horns, doubling their offensive output for the entire season combined to that point. They'll be wearing grins well into next season. They have a chance against Lone Star today, but it isn't a real great one.
14) Starkville Cows(last week #14)
The Cows play the Villians today, and close with an average Eastern team, the Cincinnati Norris Ninjas. Unfortunately, the Cows played the Hobbs Gerbil Wranglers before they became the team formerly known as the Hobbs Gerbil Wranglers, and so lost out on a win there. There's always next season.
