It seems like every single TE in this game is meant to be a receiver...

That's because they go out on in the pattern for every single pass play. My TE isn't a bad blocker, but making him a decent blocker has taken away from his pass catching abilities.

The Machu Picchu Hidden Dragons have TEs who can block.

Here's what that looks like:

Nice. I was wondering how much better a team's running game would be if the TE's could block.

My team has a good blocking TE. He had 70 pancakes last year and has 69 through 15 games this year. Too bad we've lost 2 starters on the O-line or our running game would be better.

We don't really throw to our TEs that much. Maybe we should, eh?

In my experience, balanced TEs are very effective blockers anyway if only because most of the time they are matched up on LBs and safeties on running plays. My guy (Smith Blarney) has had a pretty good season in both the blocking and receiving departments.

I think you went the wrong way with yours to call him a blocking TE. You have high blocking, but lower strength. Since strength helps in blocking as well as receiving, to break tackles and whatnot, I figured it makes more sense to bring up strength first (to the 2nd cap, in my case). Next, I plan to bring blocking to the first cap followed by agility and vision.

I would call yours more of a balanced TE with a blocking emphasis.
