Should you train blocking for a CB occasionally, to help with PDs and to keep WRs from running crisp routes?

the onlything it would be helpful for is shedding blocks on pitch plays. It would be interesting to see if it pays off, someone should do an experimental build.

When speed/agility/vision are at 4:1 and catch/jump/tackle/strength are capped, it might be useful to train. Beyond that, though...

Thanks for the input, I'll make a note of it.
Anyone with a CB lvl 30 or higher want to weight in on this?
I'm asking because from personal experiance with any of my players (postions) SA's seem useless. And there is no set table of attribute # = SA activation. I'm trying to utilize all attributes to get the most out of my players.
Blocking isnt just done on the offensive side of the ball. Strength/ catching agility/ speed and vision by definition doesnt account for the bump or push you can give a WR inside of 5 yards from the LOS to delay or get him off his route . Nor do they best fit swatting at the ball for a deflection. I'd have to say blocking does on both. Anyone experiment with this?

I thought about getting some blocking back in the day, but haven't had time to try it. It'd be interesting to see in an experimental build, but I kinda doubt that jamming at the line is implemented.
Also, some SAs are very important, definitely more so than stats like blocking - see 90% of threads in this forum for advice. For example, I can't remember my CB ever getting aggressive and going after WRs at the LOS until I had at least 5 Super Vision.

Thanks Brock. I've seen the posts on SA's in this forum and others for different positions. Like I stated above, I have yet to see a differance for any of my players when placing points into SA's. (this is especially true with LBs were placing your SPs into your core attributes make the greatest impact). I have seen differances when I place the points into the basic attributes, so thats why I am bringing this up.
Buy what you mentioned above with Super Vision at 5 thats what..at least 10 SPs spent on SA's just to get Super Vision that high. I am going to experiment with my younger CB to see if by placing 8 of those SPs that you spent in SA's into blocking (getting it to or close to 20) will he get more PDs and get alittle more aggressive like you mentioned with Super Vision.

For shedding blocks strength works just fine, and it good for other stuff like FF. From my experience SA do work.
Works for D-line, but I would assume it would work for all defensive players. I would train, but not put points into it.
