I guess I will get this thread started by saying that if the Stampede do go the way of the Do-Do I would like to keep Hugh Janus and Morgan Lindsey in the WEPL.

I would also like to keep my kicker and punter here, but there are a lot of really talented guys at those positions in the WEPL.

I am still holding on to the quickly unravelling strands of hope that we can keep the Stampede alive, but it really seems doubtful, IMO.

Thanks for the memories, guys.

Even though Boble has not made any final decicions about the Stampede,I guess I will have to toss my hat in the ring as well.

Plus Helluin is definitely leaving, so my RB on the Vikings will be looking for a new team as well.

Just to let you know, I'm a team player...will help out where I can. My players will be boosted to the max, they all have good builds and are quality players, but I will let you be the judge of that.

As long as either of my teams are in contention for the playoffs, the Stampede and the Vikings, I won't open up any players profiles.

Also if either the Stampede or the Vikings stay together in the WEPL, all bets are off.

Here's a little taste for now:

Gunn Slinger/QB - Level 36 soon to be level 37. Very consistant, didn't have gaudy stats in previous seasons due in part to the Stampede relying more on the run in the beginning seasons. Has a 96.4 QB rating now, also has the highest completion % in the league right now, and led the Stampede to a Championship in season 2. If you are looking for a winner and a starting QB, look no more.

Ace N'TheHole/QB - Level 33, should hit level 34. If you like Slinger, you will like Ace. Has been playing backup QB on the Stampede, but could easily step into a starting role.

Vicious Hitz/LB - Level 36. Played 4 seasons for the Dallas Zoneboys at MLB, came on very strong in season 4. We brought him over to the Stampede this season, and he's been very solid playing MLB and LILB.

Tote DaRock/HB - Level 35. Solid HB, but keep in mind that he has been playing on the Vikings which is definitely a passing team, which I knew when I signed on. Never minded taking a back seat, and was glad I could contribute in any way. That being said, I am not opposed to playing in a RBBC, but would prefer a starting role.

Ray "Big Cat" Wright"/OT - Level 34. Solid player, will only get better. May retire after this season depending on the situation.

Moose Blocker/FB - Level 32. He is a good lead blocker, and can contribute to the run as well. Played a few seasons for the Dallas Zoneboys who also used him as a backup HB. I was going to retire him last season, but the owner of the Austin Outlaws asked me to sign on as the team was in playoff contention. He's got all 3 boosts left by the way. He may also retire after the season, again it depends on the situation.

Just wanted to say it's been great playing for both the Stampede and the Vikings in the WEPL, best league in GLB. Both the Stampede and the Vikings have been 1st rate teams, with 1st rate owners...and great team players. My only regret is that we were never able to have the Vikings vs the Stampede in a Championship match, that would have been awesome.

I know I don't ususually post this much, but with a wife and 2 kids, life gets a little hectic sometimes.

Actually I do have 1 more regret... there should be more posts about the Pimps, lol,

Best of luck to everyone this season!

Well if the Stampede disband, my Linebacker will be available

Shaun Hudson - Level 36(.5)
Will be interested in playing in WEPL or going in Mikes Draft
No fuss on starting or playing backup
Championship first mentality
Also don't bother messaging me till the off season, I don't give a crap on whether your team needs me or not, but I am not looking for another team will the Stampede no longer exist.
Also if your in Alpha, I will consider any messages as spam until I can't find a suitable Zeta team.

Tote DaRock = hell of a RB, get him! Even though we ran less than everyone else he still managed to put up competitive numbers.

Harold Longfellow - Level 36 Cornerback
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=35419

Pros: Very physical corner with great vision. Reads plays very quickly. Elite man coverage in short to medium distances. Never gets faked out. Never misses tackles. Has a nose for the runner and is not easily blocked. Has been very consistent in his career with interceptions and PDs until QBs stopped throwing his direction.

Cons: Average coverage ability when the pass rush isn't there. Lacks top end speed. Has never returned an interception for a TD. Too slow to return kicks.

Overall: Harold Longfellow has seen his statistics drop drastically as he has developed into a true shutdown corner. While he occasionally gets beat for a deep pass, he has proven to be very solid in a multitude of areas. His experience lies solely in man coverage but he has all the tools necessary to be a good zone corner. Longfellow is best suited as a strong side defender on a team with a good pass rush.

Sebastian Jackson - Level 36 Wide Receiver
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=46822

Pros: Very big and physical. Solid possession receiver with tremendous catching ability. Excellent run blocking. Can wear down defensive backs with his size and strength. Excellent route runner. Plays taller than his size would indicate. Will fight hard for the ball. May occasionally break tackles. Rarely drops the ball. Will not fumble. Has adequate speed and is solid in many areas.

Cons: Lacks top end speed. Usually gets his catches in traffic instead of being wide open. Not a good fake artist. Has been shown to give up interceptions against more agile defenders.

Overall: Not suited to be a deep threat, Sebastian Jackson has been best utilized on a run-heavy team. He absolutely loves to block, and is very well suited for the strong side. While he isn't excellent in stretching the field, his speed is adequate enough to keep defenders on their toes. He has seen his touchdown total rise slightly since joining the Stampede, but his best years were earlier when he was used in a West Coast Offense, gaining yards after the catch and providing in run support. Will be a great asset on a tough, physical team but he is not suited for a finesse team.

Joe Cryso - Level 36 Offensive Tackle
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=35615

Pros: Very hard to beat off the edge. Plays with a low center of gravity. Very agile. Has adequate strength and stickiness. Does not tire easily. Has shown great ability to seal the pocket. While Joe is best in run support, he is balanced enough for pass protection. Very quick reflexes.

Cons: Does not have the dominating strength to push strong defensive tackles. Undersized for a lineman. Not fast enough to pull off of his side and provide support in a Power O. Not a pancake artist.

Overall: Joe Cryso has been a solid starter for the past three seasons but may never be considered elite. It seems his run blocking has slightly diminished since his Championship season, while his pass protection has increased. He is currently at a juncture where he can progress either direction and be very effective, but it may take some coaching and some time. His strengths and weaknesses aren't major, and he would be decent for any style of offense. His small frame, however, may always hinder his ability to dominate until he can master his technique.

As his defensive coordinator since the very beginning, I HIGHLY recommend this guy.

To all teams who are interested in signing my characters, I would like you to PM me, telling me exactly why you think my characters would be a good fit on your team. I would like to know how you plan on incorporating me into your strategy. It's easy enough for me to tell that your team is thin at a certain position, but that isn't enough for me. I want a convincing argument that I can thrive in your system. You can trust that my scouting report is very honest, please be very honest as well. If you see a bench spot for one or more of my characters, don't hesitate to let me know. I don't consider the bench a terrible thing, considering we all get equal experience in games now. I like a deep team just as much as you do.

To all outside readers from other leagues: Forget it. The WEPL is my home.

I just opened profiles on all my players that would be relevant to the WEPL. If anyone sees something they like, feel free to contact me.

I don't mind being in a backup role with Hugh and Morgan, but for obvious reasons Boomer and Numbnuts need their own spots.

Thanks guys.
