Has anyone tried out a WR as a K/P Returner? I am going to make an exclusive returner and I have to choose between CB, SS, FS, WR, and HB. So far WR looks the best because the whole speedster tree works for it and the quick cut/headfakes seem to be much more effective than the return specialists and super visions.

I was actually wondering the same thing myself last week and it seems that it's best to create a power HB returner or any position that has First Step and Quick Cut/Change Direction as they're the only useful SAs. I've never seen any of the other elusive SAs such as Juke or the CBs Return Specialist actually activate on KR/PR so I asked in the main forum if anyone else had seen them on a return, but no one else has either.

Ok, what about Head Fake. I was planning on pouring points into Speed and Agility with some decent carrying, vision, and stamina. For SA I was only going to do the first three in the Speedster Tree. (First Step, Quick Cut, Head Fake)

my freind has str reciver that does KRs and is looking to have his second straight season with gold awards in both AVG, and TD's, so a WR im guessing is not a bad choice. I myslef have a CB who does only KR/PR and has had, what i think, to be a lot of success. I have 4 in return specialist, and a adv equip w/ +1 to juke SA, which in response to viscount, i will post a few plays which i believe they have activated.

Juke

Tackle Avoidance (Bonus from Return Specialist)

Juke

Now, im not 100% on any of those, but i think there is a good possibility of those beign jukes, and i usuaully dont see too many CB's breaking that many tackles with only 15 str, proving that specialist was in effect there.

MY speed receiver out runs his blockers and barrels directly into the waiting arm of the defenders to the point I want to scream "What are you doing? Let the blockers block then run around them!" I think a slower more agile guy might be better, unless it is a confidence problem (my guy isn't confident in his blockers or a vision problem (my guy doesn't see he has blockers).

My speed receiver is also the team's exclusive returner. Receiver works pretty good as every point you put into helping returning also helps him as a returner - even carrying supposedly helps a receivers catching. 22 returned TDs so far this season although stats a bit skewed due to 15 TDs and 1000 PR yards in one game.

I returned kicks and punts for my team for a few games back in season 3 and was pretty good at it. We have a CB who was built specifically to be a returner though so I lost the job. I think WR is a great position to make a returner because like mikemike said, everything you would do to make him a good returner (speed, agility, vision, carrying, and the speedster SAs) also happen to be the same stuff you need to build a good speed WR.
