I'm going to do a most improved post later next week with some analysis and comments.

Please submit nominations here.

I'll go ahead and start.

Chicago Thunder:
Last year 4-12, 12th place.
Best case final record, 12-4 4th seed. worst case 11-5 5th seed.

Season 4 key results:
RGB- 56-6 L
Tallahassee- 49-14 L
Blaze- 42-16 L
Anchorage- 42-3 L
So. Cal- 28-13 L
Las Vegas- 10-9 L

Season 5 Key Results
RGB- 27-13 L
Tallahassee- 20-13 L
Blaze- 34-33 W
Anchorage- 52-13 L
So. Cal- 63-10 W
Las Vegas- 38-13 W

Leads league in passing yards (by 800), passing TDs (by 6) 5th in point scored/game.
7th in INTs, 7th in passing TDs allowed.
9th in Pancakes.
Will likely has 4 players with 10+ TD receptions and 1000+ yards receiving.

Aside from the Anchorage game, we've been competitive all year. Looking forward to playoff football for the first time in team history.

I only bought into the league with 3 games left last year so I can't vote on it. I'd say that the Demonik is a good candidate for next year but looking up the ladder of the region I'd have to think that there is going to be WAY too many teams relegated to BBB next season and that we will be pretty close to being relegated up even though we will have a sub .500 record (I hope not so we can wreck on people next year and get fan support up ). But I guess that is a topic for another thread.

Back on topic, I think you guys wanted more out of your team all year and thought you would be better... and it shows in your power rankings throughout the season.

RGB was 8th on the power rankings to start the season and now are 3rd with the inside track to the #1 playoff seed.

We weren't given any respect by the West. None. Now at least we're in the playoffs. You'd think with the dissing the East gives that we'd be a shoe-in

The Trucks abstain! We were not here last year.

That being said, we won zero games in this league last year and this year have won at least 4 which is an infinite percentage of increase. Can't argue with math.

Has to be RGB:

#1 WR in the Conf in Yds and TDS
#8 AND #10 RBs in Yds
#5 AND #9 RBs in TDs
#3 player in sacks
#5 in Hurries
#4 AND #8 players in INTs (FTR, Myne with 10 INTs has returned 7 of those for TDs)
#10 player in FF (same guy who is #5 in hurries)

Now, do we lead the league in tackles? No. Why? Cause we take the ball way from you instead of just knocking you to the ground.

net result?

Team went from relegated, to #1 seed in the playoffs. Classic "worst-to-first" scenario in the making.

We're having our first non-12-4 season. Does that count as an improvement .

1. RGB
2. RGB
3. RGB
4. RGB
5. someone other than RGB

really - i'm not trying to come across as cocky, because this conference has a pretty strong upper 1/3 - but this is a worst-to-first. and we've done it with a lot of the same players from when we were terrible, adding bits and pieces every season. in fact, a couple of our starters are former back ups who developed into the position...

this is a team that has been built in a classic way, with a mixture of old and new.

Other than RGB the only other team that could be considered would be Roswell.

The first rankings had them at #8 fighting for a playoff spot.
Not only did they make the playoffs but the secured a home playoff game by beating Chicago.

RGB was listed at #6 as a "Bottom playoff team".
We should end up with the #1 seed.
The only bad thing here is we will most likely play a redhot Roswell team looking to avenge their early season loss to us.

The most disappointing/underachieving team would have to be Chicago.
Listed all season as the #4 power of the league they were only able to squeak into the #6 seed.

I agree it's RGB. Currently 56 points I think it was separates us from the #1 seed. Don't let up against the Dragons, b/c we sure won't against the Gladiators.

Your last two wins have been very impressive.
Your only problem is by luck of the draw you guys get a team that has allowed 38 points a game while RGB gets a team that has allowed 167 points a game.
