Now everything's on the first page, but originally:
**Defensive Pro Bowl Selections, Western Conference, P.1**
**Offensive Pro Bowl Selections, Western Conference, P.2**
**Defensive Pro Bowl Selections, Eastern Conference, P.5**
**Offensive Pro Bowl Selections, Eastern Conference, P.7**
I say official only cause I'm the first to get around to it
The season’s drawing to a close, and I thought this would be a good way to spark discussion. I thought about waiting for final results (until the end of the season) to do this, but then it’d probably get swamped in a bunch of chatter about the playoffs. Now a word about my methodology. As a baseline, I’m going to be using justafish’s Pro Bowl formulae (from here: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1218134 ), not because they're the end all or be all, but because it’s a good suggestion and I’d like to see some sort of Pro Bowl function hard coded into the game eventually and this is a good way of giving the idea more exposure. However, the final decision will be my own. I would be happy to take other opinions into account, so if you’d like to make case for a player (replays or numbers would be nice), I’d be more than happy to take it into account. As a way of saving time I’ll only be looking at currently listed starters (no CPUs). If that means I missed someone, please let me know. I’ll be naming one starter and one alternate for each position. I’ll be starting with the West and D-players, because that’s what I know. I hope to do everything by the season’s end, but I would love help, so if anyone wants to pitch in, speak up!
Number in parentheses is their Pro Bowl score.
NT:
Starter: Diamond Dog of the Minnesota Marauders- With 9 hurries and 18 TFL, not only can he tie up the O-Line, he can also make plays behind the line of scrimmage (95)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26347&playoffs=0
Alt: Flex Jackston of the Galaxy Aces- A slightly lesser stat line, but also 2 FF and 2 FR. However, I’m slightly leery of the value attached to FF’s as they don’t always prompt a change of possession. (83)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=43659&playoffs=0
DT:
Starter: E. Honda of the South Bay Spartans- It’s a rare DT who can put consistent pressure on the QB, but Honda has done just that, with 25 Hurries and a staggering 22 sacks. 21 TFL only extend his penetration into the opposing O-line. (216)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=43616&playoffs=0
Alt: Mike Dee of the Golden State Athletics- Stops ‘em dead at the line of scrimmage, with 100 Tks and not a MsTk yet. (203)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=28763&playoffs=0
LDE:
Starter: Flashman Gordon of the Columbus Bucks- Sure, he may be helped by the fact that his D is on the field more than most in the West, but no one else is even close to his stat line: 35 Sacks, 21 Hurries and 13 TFL. (244)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=78309&playoffs=0
Alt: luke the destroyer of the Washington Extreme- He may not be able to keep up with Gordon, but 13 Sacks, 17 Hurries and 21 TFL is way ahead of everyone else at LDE. (167)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=39749&playoffs=0
RDE:
Starter: Rudy Ruettiger of the Minnesota Marauders- He may have fewer raw sacks than his alt (58), but with twice as many Hurries (23) and TFL (18) to boot, I’ll give him the edge. (309)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26277&playoffs=0
Alt: “Scary” Gary Coleman of the Las Vegas Freebirds- With 67 of ‘em, he’s the reigning sack champ in the Western Conference. (287)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=73611&playoffs=0
MLB:
Starter: Mark Biehl of the Columbus Bucks- Another case where you could argue that his stat line reflects the fact that he’s spent a lot of time on the field. But with 4 Ints and 5 FF, he’s capable of making quality plays in addition to quantity (164 tk, 18 TFL). (228)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=27247&playoffs=0
Alt: Tank Johnson of the San Antonio Saints- With 4 sacks and 9 Hurries, he knows how to blitz and 20 TFL round that picture out. (152)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26221&playoffs=0
LLB:
Starter: Budha Pest of the San Jose Spartans- 135 Tks + 14 TFL = One heck of a lot of plays broken up. (167)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=249427&playoffs=0
Alt: Tony Whitaker of the Columbus Bucks- He may not have Pest’s numbers, but with 1 INT, 3 FFs and 2 FRs, he knows how to get his hands on the ball. (141)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=37813&playoffs=0
RLB:
Starter: Nolan Ryan of the San Antonio Saints- The master of the LB blitz in the West, with 13 Hurries and 15 sacks. Add 100+ Tk and you’ve got a dominant player. (187)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=27452&playoffs=0
Alt: Igor Rakmanov of the Bourbon Street Bullies- 18 PD, 2 Ints and a DefTD testify to Rakmanov’s strength as a pass coverage LB, and 6 TFL, 1 FF and 1 FR attest to his versatility.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=28633&playoffs=0
CB1:
Starter: Mike Chen of the San Jose Spartans- 7 Ints and 43 PDs is a dominant stat line for a CB this season, and that’s 50 passing plays he’s stopped cold. (157)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=27318&playoffs=0
Alt: Curly Merkin of the Bourbon Street Bullies- He leads the West for Ints, so he’s a natural for this list. 24 PDs and 2 DefTDs don’t hurt his case, either. (118)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=162398&playoffs=0
CB2:
Starter: Charlie Dawson of the Minnesota Marauders- He can put pressure on the QB, break up passing plays and score 2 TDs. Is there anything he can't do? (106)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26862&playoffs=0
Alt: Ted Vodka Jr. of the Galaxy Aces- 5 Ints and 34 PDs put him close to everyone else, but it’s a competitive year for CBs. (116)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=96449&playoffs=0
FS:
Starter: Ike Jellybeans of the Richmond Rebel Yell- 9 PDs, and he’s return both his Ints for TDs, which is no mean feat. (63)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=39005&playoffs=0
Alt: Sean “Meast” Taylor of the Washington Extreme- A slightly worse ratio of Tks to MsTks means I have to give the nod to Ike. Otherwise, despite being a SS, they’re neck and neck. (60)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=27324&playoffs=0
SS:
Starter: Super Man of the San Antonio Saints- 6 TFL, 16 PD and 2 FF is a robust stat line for a SS, more than enough to make him the starter. (88)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26218&playoffs=0
Alt: Matt Blevins of the Galaxy Aces- 111 is a whole lot of tackles, and with 9 TFL and 15 PD, Blevins is an excellent SS this season. (83)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=28979&playoffs=0
**USA Pro Western Conference, Offensive Pro Bowl Selections**
Using the stat line to judge the greatness of blockers (O-Line, FB and TE) is not really satisfactory, so I’m willing to hear counter arguments on those positions especially. I’ve decided to award Pro Bowl spots to an entire O-line unit instead of individual players. While this may perpetuate the animosity of O-line guys, I’m pretty happy with the results. The numbers are also skewed in favor of guys who are the focus of their team’s offense, as opposed to those teams who spread the ball around. Still, if you can make plays every down, that is a positive trait, imo.
QB:
Starter: Riverboat Gambler of the Bourbon Street Bullies- He’s a QB’s QB, with a 111.9 rating thus far in the season. Normally, to get a rating that high, you’d have to come on the field very infrequently, but with over 1,000 plays, Gambler proves his talent on the field everyday. (325)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=38177&playoffs=0
Alt: Pretty Boy of the San Antonio Saints- If you look later in the thread, you’ll see I went back and forth on this one, but what ultimately convinced me was that his higher Pro Bowl score per attempt is markedly higher than Falcon’s. Still, he was a great QB with or without my seal of approval (359)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26216&playoffs=0
HB:
Starter: Larry Smith of the South Bay Spartans- He’s the lynchpin of the offense on the best team in the conference, and he’s got the numbers to prove it: 4200+ yds, 49 TDs and 202 broken tackles. (495)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=28740&playoffs=0
Alt: Larry Csonka of the Golden State Athletics- A smashmouth style runner, Csonka picks up the tough yards game in and out. You can’t stop him, but you might slow him down. (335)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26466&playoffs=0
FB:
Starter: Alex Grey of the Golden State Athletics- Csonka and this guy are the best RB/FB tandem in the West, and he probably owes a lot of his success to running behind this road grader. (88)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=26692
Alt: Bull Dozer of the San Antonio Saints- 24 Pancakes, 100 + yds and two TDs is a good season for an FB. (66)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=27141&playoffs=0
WRs:
WR1: Bobby Moore of the San Jose Spartans- In terms of raw numbers, nobody else is even close to this guy. With 1900+ yds and 15 TDs, he’s having the best season of his career. (357)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=43502&playoffs=0
WR2: Skram Dizzle of the San Antonio Saints- As the league leader in TDs, Dizzle is an obvious candidate for the list, and a testament to the insane level of talent the Saints have at WR (255).
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26293&playoffs=0
WR3: Cloud Stryfe of the South Bay Spartans- His numbers aren’t shabby (1000+ yds and 10 TDs), but he’s been a consummate possession receiver, dropping only seven balls in 110 receptions. (227)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=68406&playoffs=0
WR4: Melek Simoneaux of the San Antonio Saints- He’s got massive breakaway skills, with more total YAC than Moore, even on 50 fewer receptions. However, he also has a disturbing habit of coughing up the ball, with 4 FL this season. (241)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26219&playoffs=0
TE:
Starter: Captain Chaos of the Washington Extreme- At 832 yds and 2 TDs, he’s the premier pass catching TE in the West. He’s got a knack for breaking away, racking up 120+ YAC this season. (168)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=27989&playoffs=0
Alt: Tigger Cianci of the Kailua Daggers: A similar number of receptions and fewer drops, but less total yardage. However, Chaos is on the field far more, so it’s close. (130)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26165&playoffs=0
O-line Unit:
Starters: BADD BoneDeep (C), Banjo Bubba (LOT), Travis Thurston (ROT), Sasuke Uchita (LG) and Cyrus Thuggin' of the Minnesota Marauders- Tied for least sack and boasting a respectable 257 pancakes, Minny has the best O-Line this season (37.4)
Alts: Tako Osone (C), Mic Dee (LOT), Logan Grace (ROT), Monta Ellis (LG) and Steve Dee (RG) of the Golden State Athletics- A pancake machine, with 266 total. (26.2)
**USA Pro Bowl Eastern Conference, Defensive Selections**
Alright, this should shut up you chatty bitches in the East:
Defensive Pro Bowl Selections for USA Pro East
Couple notes:
1. If you're confused about the methodology, read the first post.
2. These stats reflect games played up through week 14. I should be able to make a second pass after week 16.
A little preview of the list, there are:
5 players from Philadelphia Pushovers
4 players from Doomsday Sin
3 players from Chicago Mustangs
2 players from Boston Nighthawks
2 players from Kalamazoo Coyotes
1 player from Washington Bullets
1 player from Green Bay Maulers
1 player from Detroit Demon Lions
1 player from Miami Bulldogs
1 player from Kentucky Madcats
1 player from Gridiron Rage
NT:
Starter: Rocky Padavanno of the Doomsday Sin- Over in the West, we hear tales of the Mustangs’ beastly D-line, but they wish they had this guy. NT’s don’t normally put up big stats, but that hasn’t stopped Padavanno. 16 Hurries, 14 Sacks and 22 TFL would be impressive even for a DE. (175)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=87345&playoffs=0
Alt: Art “Fatso” Donovan of the Philadelphia Pushovers- He may not have the pass rush presence of Padavanno, but Donovan is still having an excellent year, with 24 TFL and 4 FF. (130)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26355&playoffs=0
DT:
Starter: Tarvaris Washington of the Chicago Mustangs- Okay, maybe the Mustang D is as good as advertised. With 16 Hurries, 11 TFL, 91 Tks and a staggering 40 sacks, Washington is as good, if not better, than reputation would have it. (229)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=32466&playoffs=0
Alt: Oake Tree of the Green Bay Maulers- It’s hard to keep up with Washington, but Tree comes close. He has more TFL (25), and if he could just convert some more of his 28 hurries into sacks, they’d be neck and neck. (176)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=66399&playoffs=0
LDE:
Starter: Lawrence Jackson of the Chicago Mustangs- As much as I’d love to upset conventional wisdom, Jackson’s greatness cannot be denied. He’s an incredibly talented player who’s having the season of his career thus far, and he has a dominant hold on his position. 35 Hurries, 14 TFL, 8 FF, a whopping 130 Tks and 69 goddamn Sacks. What more is there to say? (412)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26199&playoffs=0
Alt: Robert Mathis of the Detroit Demon Lions- Somebody’s got to be second, but Mathis makes it looks sweet. He has 137 Tks, and with 17 Hurries, 18 TFL and 52 sacks, he makes a solid alt. (327)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=32935&playoffs=0
RDE:
Starter: William Davis of the Philadelphia Pushovers- After his game against the Nasty, it’s clear that Davis is the leading RDE in the East. With over 100 Sacks plus Hurries, he’s a one-man pass rush package. (329)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=32070&playoffs=0
Alt: Minister of Defense of the Chicago Mustangs- Defense has an odd problem: his supporting cast is too good. Chicago’s D keeps opponents off the field, so he has over 300 fewer snaps than Davis. If he got more plays, he might well surpass Davis, but this is stats, not speculation. 56 Sacks, 19 Hurries, 9 TFL and 2 Safeties put him above everyone else, though. (268)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26217&playoffs=0
MLB:
Starter: Jason Smith of the Kentucky Madcats- Yes, Smith’s 175 tackles probably indicate the sorry state of Kentucky’s D-Line, which leaves Smith doing clean up. But with 5 hurries, 6 sacks, 13 TFL and a whopping 10 FF, he’s a janitor I’d love to have on my team (251)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=28567&playoffs=0
Alt: Dominic Alleva of the Doomsday Sin- Freed from Smith’s type of clean up duties, Alleva is free to study the art of the LB blitz, and he a master of that art in the East, with 18 Hurries and 21 Sacks. 10 TFL, 12 PD and 102 Tks make him a well-rounded weapon. (202)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=107966&playoffs=0
LLB:
Starter: Joe Hester of the Boston Nighthawks- A standout at LB this season, Hester’s 110 tackles and 25 TFL mark him as a run stopping machine. With 5 FF, he often roughs ‘em up before taking ‘em down. (177)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=28849&playoffs=0
Alt: Danny Bateman of the Philadelphia Pushovers- Bateman is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. With 8 Hurries, 14 PD, 6 Sacks and 2 Ints, he can stop the aerial attack. 93 tackles and 18 TFL means he can shut down the ground game, too. 14 MsTk worries me a bit, though. (155)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26278&playoffs=0
RLB:
Starter: Clay Matthews of the Gridiron Rage- There should be no doubt about the name of the most dominant LB in the East: it’s spelled “Matthews”. He’s the backbone of the Rage defense and with 174 Tk and 30 TFL in addition to 5 Hurries and a mammoth 41 Sacks, he’s a lethal weapon you can build a defense around. (349)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=40121&playoffs=0
Alt: Daddy Fatstacks of the Doomsday Sin- Nobody can really compete with Matthews this season, but Fatstacks is trying. 100+ Tk, 8 Hurries, 14 Sacks and 2 Ints is a fine effort. (177)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=69422&playoffs=0
CB1: Sandesh Pawar of the Kalamazoo Coyotes- As in the West, there is one CB who is a cut above the competition. 48 PD, a huge 13 Ints and five, (count ‘em!) five Def TDs spell decimation for opposing offenses. (206)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=27025&playoffs=0
CB2: Play Maker of the Boston Nighthawks- Picking the CB2 was difficult, but I’m going to give the edge to Maker, as he was able to tote up an impressive stat line in far fewer plays than my other two picks at CB. 34 PD, 7 Ints and 3 Def TDs are some outstanding numbers. (144)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=39195&playoffs=0
CB3: Tyson Cleaves of the Doomsday Sin- CBs in the East have a nose for the endzone once they get the ball, and Cleaves’ five DefTDs (on only 9 Ints) means he can do that with the best of ‘em. (155)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=93781&playoffs=0
CB4: Sheen Mathis of the Philadelphia Pushovers- On raw numbers, Mathis has Maker beat: 45 PD, 5 Int and 4 total Def TDs. (159) .155
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26270&playoffs=0
FS:
Starter: Barry Ballhawk of the Kalamazoo Coyotes- It’s a tight race at FS, but Ballhawk has lived up to his name, notching up 10 PD, 3 Ints, 4 FF and a DefTD. (69)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=27701&playoffs=0
Alt: P Watson of the Washington Bullets- I’m giving the edge to Watson over Balls Hawks of Green Bay because of his versatility. 3 TFL and 4 FF make him an asset to the Run D, in addition to a sturdy 5 PD and 3 Ints. (60)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=28404&playoffs=0
SS:
Starter: Nesby Glasgow of the Philadelphia Pushovers- Glasgow does a little bit of everything to help out his team: 1 Hurry, 7 TFL, 14 PD, 5 Ints (!), 2 DefTD and one FF. (100)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26298&playoffs=0
Alt: Haywood J’Blomee of the Miami Bulldogs- This pick is a bit controversial because, one, he’s not actually an SS (he’s a FS) and two, his stat line is clearly inflated by being the stopper for a lousy D-line. Still, I’ll give the guy credit for 17 PD, 4 Ints and 6 FF. (127)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=62329&playoffs=0
**USA Pro Bowl, Eastern Conference Offensive Selections**
QB:
Starter: Peter Gallo of the Gridiron Rage- When you’re picking a Pro Bowl QB, ya gotta go with the gunslinger. Gallo fits that type to a T, as he leads the East in yards (4764.5) and TDs (59). He’s stayed frosty despite the increased workload, with a QB rating of 117.6, 69.4% completions and only 12 Ints. (446)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=37733&playoffs=0
Alt: Rip McMasters of the Doomsday Sin- I try to be a bit more conservative (in terms of sticking to the numbers) on my pick for starters, but the Alt is where I can shake things up a bit. So I’m putting McMasters over Julian Krist of Philly. Krist has the edge on total points (343), but McMasters has a higher QB rating (129.3). He also has far fewer plays and atts, but he’s making the most of them, scoring a little over 1 pt per attempt. If Doomsday used him more, I’m certain he’d pass Krist. But then again, if Krist weren’t splitting carries, I’d have to give the edge to him. (306)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=27437&playoffs=0
HB:
Starter: James Wahington of the Boston Nighthawks- Same as with QB; ya gotta go with the guy who puts up the big numbers. And given that he leads the East in yards and TDs, that man is Wahington. It’s no secret how Boston wins games, and Wahington is the centerpiece of the strategy. (369)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=100849&playoffs=0
Alt: Clint Grant of the Green Bay Maulers- He may not get as many carries as Wahington, but he’s making the most of ‘em, with 7 ypc. Throw in 40 TDs, and you’ve got a winner. (324)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=64813&playoffs=0
FB:
Starter: B. Lock of the Gridiron Rage- With 67 Pancakes this season and his HB putting up a healthy 6.1 ypc, Lock is the obvious pick for best fullback in the East. (156)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=45167&playoffs=0
Alt: Tony Pepperoni of the Kentucky Madcats- With 73 Pancakes, he leads all FB’s in the East, but I’d like to better performance from his HB before I’d name him the starter. (156)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=50008&playoffs=0
WR1: Jon Blaze of the Camden Outkasts- Blaze has been a beast this year, racking up 1800+ yds and 13 TDs. With an average of 8.8 YAC and 18.8 yds per reception, he’s a huge asset to Camden’s offense. (278)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=62316&playoffs=0
WR2: Cole Weathers of the Doomsday Sin- Weathers may not have the sheer numbers of some other guys I could have picked, but he’s put up huge numbers on only 67 receptions: 1,347 yds and 19 TDs (the most in the East). The master of the deep threat, his 20.1 yds per reception have allowed him to post big numbers off of limited targets. (242)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=77195&playoffs=0
WR3: Mad Maxx of the Gridiron Rage- Another player who has done a great deal on limited playtime, Maxx has 1352 yds and 17 TDs on only 81 receptions. (249)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=36590&playoffs=0
WR4: Ocean Suzgar of the Gridiron Rage- I went back and forth on this one, but whoever I picked at WR4, there’s no question that Gridiron has the best WR tandem in the East. Suzgar’s 1292 yds and 16 TDs round out the pair. (248)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=62867&playoffs=0
TE:
Starter: Corpulent Pigleg of the Rhode Island Red Wolves- The premier pass catching TE in the East, Pigleg has good numbers even for WR: 1,326 yds and 17 TDs. 42 Pancakes makes him a dual threat. (280)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26452&playoffs=0
Alt: Cantstop Oden of the Philadelphia Pushovers- Philly spreads the ball around, so Oden may not have Pigleg’s numbers, but 574 yds and 6 TDs are just fine, thank you. 35 Pancakes don’t hurt his case, either. (196)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/full_player_stats.pl?player_id=26155&playoffs=0
O-Line Unit
Starters: BigGuns McCord (C), Rock Slide (LOT), Tiny O’Slim (ROT), Murphy D’cleater (LG) and Tom O’Keefe (RG) of the Boston Nighthawks- Boston’s O-Line has formed an airtight seal around their QB, allowing only 10 defenders through. That, plus 360 Pancakes, makes them the best O-Line in the East in my book. (62)
Alts: Dave Rimmington (C), Tony Bag O’Donuts (LOT), Jack Mason (ROT), Joe Mamma (LG) and Mad Max (RG) of the Kalamazoo Coyotes- A few more sacks allowed (18) and a couple fewer Pancakes (350) makes these guys the second best unit in the East. (52.6)
I hope to do everything by the season’s end, but I would love help, so if anyone wants to pitch in, speak up!Number in parentheses is their Pro Bowl score.
