Level 18 elusive HB. I have soft capped speed and agility, should I soft cap vision or keep building up speed and agility? My vision is currently at 25.

i think getting vision too high can mess up your back so i would get it to about late 30s early 40s

That use to be true. I say soft cap it
I have a 32 elusive back and this is his best season and the season that I finally got around to soft cappeing vison.

I believe the gains from increasing spd/agi far outweigh the gains from raising vision. Vision is a trainable skill at most.

Vision is essential for an elusive back since Bort fixed elusive running. Without vision your back will struggle to choose running paths and also struggle to spot tackles. Vision = Intelligence. If youre building a full elusive HB he needs to be able to read the game quickly or he will run badly. Power backs dont bother they just close their eyes and plow forwards.

So is soft capping vision better now? I haven't kept up but when I was building my halfback, vision was crap so I left it at 25.

I wouldn't take it much beyond that. And if you do decide to, I'd only use training, no SP's.

I only have 23 Vision, with no plans to increase it. I'm an elusive back but I run on the Power setting.

I think that bort sees that and is making adjustments. I am tring a vision build for shits and giggles and its working decently. It does help your receiving, so if your team is a 90% passing team it will help.
After i get my carrying to a respectable level for my league/level I am gonna focus on agility for a long time. Speed will be my equip atribute, but after speed gets second capped naturally, he will be going for agility. That way I can get agility to 75/80 and be able to spin like a tazmanian devil.
I dumped my points into speed only 4 games ago. and the other HB on the team is only slightly better than me in the YPC department...by about .5 yards. When I only had 16 speed but capped vision, he averaged 4.5 YPC.
Cision is only something to experiment with...for now. So taurran is right, but for how long, who knows. But by then, you will have every other attribute to the second cap and vision will be the only economical thing to pump. Because it helps catching and runnig (supposedly)

Bort hasn't fixed "Elusive" running yet, he has tweaked it a bit but it is still a long long long way from being fixed.

My HB is almost to third soft cap for vision and has had no big problems running the ball.

I believe Bort has stated that vision simply increases the radius in which your player "sees" or reacts to opposing players. Therefore, I don't see a point in raising it past a level that allows your hb to be aware of players more than 10-15 yards away from their present position, which is more than enough to react to avoid a tackle. What that level is, I'm not sure, but I wouldn't imagine it to be more than 35-40.
There is also a diminishing return on attributes as they increase them, so taking vision to insanely high levels seems to be a waste of points.

You worded that very unclearly.
The only reason there's a diminishing return is because they cost more. You get the exact same output from a higher input, thus the returns "diminish". The amount that you get from +1 Throwing is no different whether you put 1 point into it to get the +1 or 5.
