I'm hesitant to post his.

Some of you are bright and some of you are dim.
I'd like (hope & pray) that this doesn't boil down to F-Bombs and name calling.

So if you think you can manage that post something to discuss!

let's see how this goes over.

I'm a registered republican. I'm voting for the democratic ticket this year.

More than a few reasons, but the biggest is a bit difficult for some folks to understand.

I'm a republican, albeit moderate one, because I believe that the more government is involved in our daily lives, the more chance they get to f--k it up. To me, it's just how it is. Which, is the basic premise that the republican party was founded on.

It seems that, over the past 8 years, the republican and democratic parties have flip flopped on that basic ideal. And that pisses me off to no end.

I also don't think a 72 year old man, and a women from Alaska is what our country needs right now to restore ourselves back to a place of prominence in this world.

Finally, I'm really just tired of the Bush cabinet, the bullying, the bad advice and the utter belief that they have done no wrong over the past 8 years.

I want a president who can stand up and say "ya, i f---ed up." Be honest about it.

I'm still waiting for the day when a ticket (you know, since they do have more than a year, sometimes two, when they know they will be the nomination for their party) to come forward and lay out a very real and detailed plan regarding what they are going to do in office to make our lives better. One of the things that has pissed me off about McCain/Palin and the GOP is that they have presented literally NOTHING of substance. And we just don't live in a day and age anymore where that can, and/or should be acceptable to people.

I mean, what the hell else is there to do for that 1-2 year prior to the election year. Not like they get much done in DC anyhow.

Anyhow, kinda jumbled, just off the top of my head.

What is there to do for the 1-2 years while thay run... Duh
GET PAID. That pisses me off I want a job where I can look for a new job and still get paid for not going to the old one... wtf

I agree with most of what you said, and while I don't agree with everything President Bush did, he has had one of the toughest set of circumstances to be Pres in my life time.

The economy was slowing down under Clinton and got crushed that first September.
Iraq, WMD or not the guy said he had them and gassed millions of his own people, thats disgusting and I'm glad the USA stood up to a bully.

But what bothers you about McCain bothers me about Obama, you say McCain doesn't have a plan thats fair enough, but Obama says yes to EVERYONE and thats not going to work. Hes either going to sell us out or sink us with mismanagement.

Out of the group Palin is the only one that has ever had Executive powers.

Thanks for tossing that out Otega

Well, TBH, Otega, McCain/Palin actually have an Idea of what they are doing. they have experience in it. Obama dosnt' have a clue. All he knows is if we raise everybodys taxes to help pay for bushs F-ups, everything will all work out. If Obama gets elected president, were all doomed. Better get used to having 2 jobs to barely survive your everyday life.

Obama will not raise taxes!

If a family makes less than 250k a year, then their taxes will be lowered!

If it were only that simple.

IMO, 99.9% of organized political parties (not independents/radicals) serve only the wealthy. Similar to lawyers, who swear an oath to serve the PUBLIC and not the CLIENT, politicians too often serve only those who are active in their election campaign/career.

Voting for a 3rd party is a waste of a vote, but I guess it can swing an election (see Perot and Nader).

Do you have a reason?
I hope to stay away from repeating what you hear, and get more of what you hear means to you.
