OK, I've seen this often and I don't quit get it.
Replay 1 shows a 53 yard punt:

in it, the ball slows down shortly before it's caught and returned.
Replay 2 shows a 30 yard punt:

where the PR seems to grab the ball out of the air, while it's still at full speed.
So is the second one a shanked punt? Any ideas?
