Okay, I had planned on doing these last night, but we ended up having a medical emergency here at the hotel. Apparently, Lou Holtz got to watching a Notre Dame-East Carolina game and started spitting so much that he drowned. J/K. Here we go with week 13, with a lot of teams trying to position themselves for the playoffs.

(8) Clemson Gamecock Kickers (1-11) vs. State of Texas Domination (0-12)

Despite the fact that they have been playing like their namesake this year, Clemson can't lose them all. Unfortunately, Texas can. Clemson 28-Texas 0

(7) Baltimore Hustle (4-8) vs. Deimon Devil Bats (1-11)

Baltimore has beat up on all the bottom feeders this year. Luckily for them, they get another win this week against a hapless Deimon team. Unfortunately for them, there's not enough bottom feeders for them to crack the playoff picture. Maybe next year, after the re-alignment. Baltimore 35-Deimon 3

(6) River City Ransom (8-4) vs. Frostburg Bobcats (4-8)

River City is working their hardest to try and gain a home playoff game this year. Their schedule is working against them though, as they still have to face Louisville and Anchorage before the season is up. You never know though, as they stunned my Freedom Warriors early on in the season. Seirus is working hard on building up Frostburg, but they're not quite there yet. They're in the similar position to Baltimore. There may be a chance for them after the re-alignment. River City 49-Frostburg 7

(5) Syracuse Samurai (8-4) vs. Richmond Empire (3-9)

Syracuse is another part of the 3 team race for the #4 spot in the playoff rankings. Like River City, their schedule is working against them as well, as they still have games against Appalachian, Lincoln, and the undefeated Texas Tarheels before the end of the regular season. They're a dangerous team though, and could surprise any of the 3 teams with an upset. Richmond is slowly working their way toward contention, as it appears they finally have an owner willing to re-build the team. Syracuse 59-Richmond 13

(4) Cleveland Buckeyes (6-6) vs. Alamo City Souljahs (4-8)

With a 3 game losing streak, Cleveland has gone from playoff contender to being on the outside looking in. However, the schedule is working in their favor, as they face 3 of the bottom tier of teams before ending their season against Chicago. Houston still has to face Jax Beach and Louisville, before facing Phoenix. Alamo City is working on building themselves to be in a position like Baltimore and Frostburg. However, they're still not ready for prime time. Cleveland 49-Alamo City 21

(3) Jax Beach Juggernauts (7-5) vs. Houston Armageddon (7-5)

Jax Beach recently did something that noone thought was possible by putting up 30+ points on Red Bank. They still have an outside shot at asserting themselves into a home playoff game. Their schedule certainly sets up well too. Houston recently overtook Cleveland in the playoff position. This matchup could be a huge decision maker in who stays in, and who falls out of the playoffs. This could be a GOTW on any other given week, but there's 2 huge games on tap for this week. Jax Beach 42-Houston 31

(2) Appalachian Lycans (11-1) vs. Lincoln Freedom Warriors (9-3)

How is this game not the game of the week? A game that could decide whether or not Lincoln gets a home game for the playoffs. A game that could set Appalachian up for a possible 2 home games. Two of the powerhouses of BBB #7 teeing it up for bragging rights. Appalachian upset Louisville, while Lincoln lost to Louisville by 3. Both teams have playmakers on both sides of the ball. This could be either a high scoring affair, or it could be a defensive battle. Despite losing, Lincoln shut down the scoring explosion that is Louisville, while Appalachian allowed a lot of scoring. I have to give the defensive edge to Lincoln. Lincoln gets the upset. Lincoln 31-Appalachian 28

(1) GAME OF THE WEEK: Red Bank Thundercats (12-0) vs. Louisville Baby Kittens (11-1)

This is the last land mine that Red Bank needs to avoid to run the table. Both teams have high scoring run and gun offenses and stout defenses. I know it's become regular for me to call a game the "Game of the Year" but this is another one of those games. I'm almost afraid to pick this one, because both teams have frequent posters here in this forum, and both will not be afraid to give me a piece of their mind. I think that Red Bank's defense will find a way to shut down Kamikaze Kitten and Kyle Kortnue. Red Bank 38-Louisville 35

There you have it. A tough slate of games to pick. This could be the week that separates the winners from the posers. Enjoy!

Great write up Husker. Though, I do have to disagree with you about the outcome of the Red Bank and Louisville game.

Kamikaze Kitten has informed me that she is going to force feed the ball to Kyle Kortnue. That's right. She has admitted to throwing less to Kyle the last couple of games to get Kyle hungry for the ball. Kyle wants that football so badly, that...well, I just feel sorry for those poor Red Bank secondary players. They just won't know what hit them.

I just hope Kamikaze stops giving into this, "Kumbaya, let's be a good teammate and spread the ball around" crap and goes back to what wins games- throwing me the damn ball.

There was a lot of humor in your writeup. Which part are you referring to?

I think he's refering to the very first paragraph. Keeping the ND bashing tradition alive.

OH.

I hate Notre Dame. So, I thought he was being serious.

This waiting for the games is killing me today.

This game pretty much determines if the Kittens have any chance to win the conference.

Win and we are still in (with a chance). Lose and we are out.

Of course, I was the same way for the Appalachian and Lincoln games as well.

Let me ask you a question about your tactics tonight. Everyone knows Kyle is going to be open. ARE YOU GOING TO THROW ME THE DAMN BALL!!?!?
