Duno what happened exactly, but I've been having alot of love for my CBs this season.

Last season CBs were just about the most embarrassing build to make. Always getting the blame when a team lost because he was faked out by the QB in the last few seconds of the game.

I'm actually regretting retiring a couple of my CBs. At this stage last season I couldn't get rid of a couple of level 20 CBs fast enough, now I'm even considering creating more.

Anyone else feel like CBs have turned the corner from last season and have become a major player in the result of your teams fortunes?

In the vast majority of cases, your team's defensive strength is determined primarily by the builds of your #1, #2 and #3 CBs.

I'd Say CB's can get there pretty quick once they reach that first upgrade
My players are more D-Back and throw in WR since those are my main targets
But carefull they can look more like a safty if ya aint carefull
A WR can get like a weak HB on other end

So true. You can build the best run stopping defense in the world, but if your #3 CB isnt solid, your a dead man. The #1 and #2 CBs can be rock solid but the 3rd CB will get picked on. Last season we had the #1 run D, and a very mediocre pass D cuz we couldnt get it together. Well, we did, we figured it out.

Now we have the #1 Run D & the #1 Pass D, which is tough, considering the pass #'s are skewed since most teams pass much more on us than others.

CBs are making a comeback, Bort had set the fake lengths far too long and now its more manageable though with the right stuff your CBs shouldnt be getting faked at all, and when they do, you can hardly tell.

I love my CB's, but just like real CB's you have good games and bad games. Good season and bad ones. I don't care how well you CB is built or how much he out levels a WR, they can and will get beat. The only question is will it happen once or 3 times in a game

I feel the opposite. My CB dominated, rarely giving up a pass, and getting a few PD's and INT's when they did, never giving up a play >10 yards, except with in (awful) zone coverage, which we dropped soon after applying.

This season, Agility has secretly (unannounced) been made mega-important, and my basic softcapped Agility combined with high speed simply isn't enough to stop slants and comeback routes from killing me. Even increasing jumping doesn't help that much (although my PD total increased loads, most of those were on short passes)

Just like in real life, your DL has a huge part in how your CB performs. Like you said, given enough time, a WR will almost always find a way to get open. It all depends on if your DL can get to the QB before the WR gets open. My DL has played fantastic this season and it's really taken a lot of pressure of the DB's.
