We've tried just about everything we can to try to fix our passing game, but things keep going poorly. He's been highly successful in the past, but is having a pretty poor season. His completion percentage has gone down and he's throwing INT's like crazy. I'm now looking to the outside for help.

Here's his build:

Physical Attributes
Strength: 53.53
Blocking: 9
Speed: 28.7
Agility: 19.43
Jumping: 15.53
Stamina: 44.92

Confidence: 38.68
Tackling: 9
Throwing: 81.09
Catching: 15.52
Carrying: 15.53
Kicking: 7
Punting: 9

Before someone asks, he has what should/has be a fairly good core around him. Our top two receivers are pretty solid all-around builds (over 80 speed/50 agility/40 jumping/40 vision/50 catching) and our #3 has comparable speed but is not as well rounded. Our TE also has pretty good speed ratings and catching. As for the line, he's getting sacked around once a game, though that happened before too without such disastrous results.

I'm just looking for anything that could be holding him/us back, it's getting quite frustrating.

I would think confidence is the issue. Especially if he is throwing multiple ints per game. By the late 20s early 30s, the defensive players have fairly strong SAs all designed to affect a QBs confidence. We had to bump our late 20s level QBs to 50+ confidence. That's where I would start. Then I would look at your SAs. Are you throwing under pressure? Try Pocket Presence.

Hmm, I can buy confidence as they do tend to come in bunches, though he does also have 6 games with only one pick including scrimmages. I don't think the pressure is the issue, only 2 of the 20 (including scrimmages) came on a "hurried" pass. The heavy sack games and INT games do line up fairly well, though so does quality of opponent. That kind of leads me back towards in-game morale/confidence.

Has anyone noticed a significant difference in performance based on the throwing velocity? One of the things we tried was switching him from medium to bullet. It seemed to help for a while, though that may be coincidental, and the last two games didn't go well.

Yea his confidence is dreadfully low, but everything else looks good.

I'm a big believer in TS and strength as interception prevention. Confidence will just lower the moral hit after throwing an int or getting sacked and moral hits just decrease your attributes.

The conf. def. needs to go up. The QB looks like he has had a pretty rough season thus far. A lot of hurries, and a lot of sacks. I think all of those go into his conf. as well. So he may not be throwing very good passes in general due to that. Then when you do add in all of those INT's it puts him over the top. I would def. get conf. to 50 as soon as possible. If you want to get this resolved quicker, try messing with his equip. If you really want him to do well, buy him a second set of equip. and focus it all on conf. It will take away from his throwing(I'm assuming that is where he has it all now), but it will give that conf. a boost. Try it out on a weaker team if you have the chance first. That will be a big tester for you.
