Anyone else tried this mix other than me?

Had high shed block going into the start of this season (7), but had never had much output from my DT as far as hurries/sacks/ffum. Given a slight softness up the middle, I put almost all my SP from boosting this season into the wall SA. While this has partially helped our run D (26.7yds per game atm rushing and about to hit a cupcake run to season end), i've noticed a seriously big improvement in my guys pass D.

Stat's changes for this season;

Speed +8
Wall +7
Break Thru +2

Equipment changes;

+3 Strength > +4 Agility +1 Strong Base

Since the changes i'm now getting past the guards i'm facing up with the QB a lot more often and earlier, and it's shown in the stats. I know this is partially going to be down to the speed increase, but i'm seeing the guards not moving me at all, and i'm thus starting closer to the QB when I shed the block. Want to get an idea of whether this is a viable SA combo to some extent as well so looking for a comparison build.

Key build notes;

Strength > 80
Agility > 60
Speed > softcap 1
Tackling > softcap 1
Shed Block = 7
Wall = 8

Side Note: Hurries is suggesting I need more speed i'm thinking, will be looking to convert them into sacks if I can.

EDIT:Almost forgot the build link for stats

Move all builds into agility and see what happens imo...

Nah! I'd rather not give up our run D at this time. The other top teams are run oriented so i'll stick with what we have.

believe me, adding agility helps the run defense as you break your blocks much sooner.

Eh it does seem like a viable build although it's hard to tell from your results considering the strength of your schedule. The success of your team also makes me think you have a solid supporting cast.

It's still hard to argue with results, I have always thought the best special abilities for a DT/NT are the first two in each tree (D-line general is somewhat of an exception). To beat a dead horse; continue putting sp into agility, it helps break blocks and acceleration.

My question is why would you need Break thru as a DT when you are not double teamed? Seems to be a waste to me.

Breakthrough comes up pretty rarely for a DT.

Not for me. I've bought two that has a Break Thru SA and ignored some because they were the same or were useless.

Switch all of your equipment from STR to AGI. It is ultimately more helpful in the run game. You have a much better chance of going around your opponent than through him.
