Is it worth softcapping for a primarily receiving TE? Has anyone actually seen improvements in route running or catching from it?

Once I heard vision hurts your player, I stopped adding to it. Personally, I think vison helps with recieving. I only drop 2-3 passes in a whole season, and my vison is 44.

The only thing I've heard is that there is a link between higher vision and less dropped passes.

Used to be problems with elusive runners with high vision stuttering because they saw threats too early (i.e wouldn't run into a hole because a defender would be there two seconds later, even if they could be through in one second), as well as blockers with "too high" vision blocking irrelevant players because they could see too far.
However the majority of these complaints were in season 2 and 3 IIRC, and I have seen very little with my high-vision players lately.
Either way, I never cared about that. Simply because it's obviously not an intended mechanism that increasing an attribute would actually hurt your player, and as such if it all possible to fix, it clearly would be eventually.
