Get on a team with good WRs and a Good O-line

You can debate all you want about what skills are the best for a QB, but we are all building pretty much the same QB. You can take any QB that is 20+ and compare it with another QB at the same level and as long as one is not a rushing QB, they are going to be within 2 or 3 points at every attribute.

If your QB sucks, it's you team. If your QB has a low completion percentage, get better WRs. If your QB is throwing a lot of interceptions, get a better o-line and better WRs.

A QB is the most team dependent position. The only other position that compares to how team dependent you are is RBs.

That obviously helps, but it is still possible for QBs to suck by themselves. It isn't always that the team sucks, but that the QB doesn't mesh well with the team. To be a good QB you need to build your player reactively to how your team is built.

The O-line's ability to block, the WR's speed and ability to catch all are factors that need to be accounted for while you build your QB.

What ever the hell this means, I'll give it a -1

So you're saying that is isn't possible for QBs to have bad builds or to benefit if they build according to the team around them?

How can you build a QB around the team? Only three attributes have any barring on passing in this game, throwing, vision and strength. You can make an argument which is better, vision or throwing, but in my experience you can't go wrong with either. There is only 1 way to build a pocket passer, so it's stupid to think you can build a QB around a team. Confidence is only good after a QB gets sacked hurried or throws an interception.

As for bad builds, yes there are bad builds. They fall into two categories, running QBs and people that spend too many points early on SAs and don't soft cap both vision and strength.

If you have a bad offensive line, there is nothing in a QBs build that is going to make up for the fact that he has a bad offensive line. You could pump confidence to make the moral drop a little more bearable, but the better fix would be replacing your crappy o-line. If the QB has bad WRs, there is nothing in a QBs build that is going to make up for the fact that he has bad WRs.

Please for all means tell me how you build a QB around a team.

um.. I'm a bit ahead of you there. I got that on my team, and we are dominating

My QB was built around my team. He's a high strength QB to focus on deep passing, and I think it's working rather well for him with a 105.5 QB rating.

so you soft capped strength before throwing or vision. Or have you not soft capped either vision or throwing?

I definitely agree with getting on a team with good WRs and O-Line. Look at my season 2 and compare it to the seasons after that. That is the effect of being on a new team. This one WR on my team, Danny, is an amazing WR. He beats higher leveled CBs and always makes big plays and our other WRs are amazing too.

I soft capped strength first, followed by vision and throwing and then more points instrength.

so you basically have the same build as everyone else your level with strength vision and throwing soft capped.

Oh and with 8 career TD passes, I wouldn't really give many people advice on how QBs work.

Actually I don't, as I said strength is well past the soft cap. All his attributes except for stamina and confidence are higher than yours and his first 2 pocket SA's are the same as yours.

He's only ever thrown 1 INT. The reason he only has 8 TDs is because he rarely passes because he's on a mainly rushing team, look at his passing attempts you've had more so far this season than he's had in his entire career. You've thrown 5 times more TDs than him this season and yet he has a better QB rating...

Yeah, my QB has a more important job on the team then yours does. If my QB doesn't perform, we don't win.

And qb rating doesn't mean much, seriously. I would take my QBs stats over your 3 point higher qb rating. And I'm fairly certain if your QB was forced to throw 40+ times in a game his rating would be way lower. You have a 5-1 td to int ratio. I have a 12.5-1 td to int ratio.
