1 (1)- Rotterdam Roughnecks 7-1 - Another day, another win for the reigning conference champs. This Roughnecks team appears to have no weakness, it possesses good balance on offense, top 10 defense against the run and the pass. The defense was impressive this game as they held PPP to a paltry 1.4 yard per carries average and sacking QB Levi Jackson 5 times. Player of the game: Roughneck LB David Jarboe with 7 tackles, 2 sacks and a hurry.
Next week vs Oslo Beserker - Roughnecks gets a gimme game here, not sure they really need it. Gets Aggies after this game.
2(3) - Korb Destroyers 7-1 - Didn't see this one coming. Korb scored early and often in rout of the Rohrheim Stampede. In fact the Destroyers put up more points than they did the previous week against Blind Rage. Whatever offensive gameplan Korb used this week, they need to make sure they hang on to it. Player of the Game: Another newcomer, CB Michael Morvilius who had 2 tackles, 1 sack, 2 pass defensed and a 39 yard interception returned for a touchdown.
Next week vs Copenhagen Cowboy - Another team that probably doesn't need a gimme game right now. Confidence is high at Korb and this team feel they can beat anybody, anytime anywhere right about now.
3(2) - Frankfurt Heat 7-1 - Frankfurt is probably a little disappointed they don't get to play Blind Rage every week. This game was the mismatch we all thought it would be. Frankfurt hope this is a sign their offense is finally coming out of whatever funk it was mired in before. This team is too good offensively to be playing the way it has. Player of the game: Well I think I'll give it to the OL as they kept their QB's jersies clean and open up holes for their RBs to a gaudy 6.1 yard per carry average on the ground.
Next week at Rohrheim Stampede, Another team that is struggling a bit offensively.
4(5)- Rivals Mainboard Pimps 6-2 - The Pimps used their tried and true formula of hard nose running and stiffling defense in dismantling the Aggies. Player of the Game: Well it's Mr. Bundy again, who had a hell of day with 4 tackles, 3 sacks and 2 hurries.
Next week at Stockholm Meatballs, looks like game of the week material, I expect a great game here as the Stockholm run D is one of the best in the league.
5(7) - Stockholm Meatball 6-2 - Another day, another team smacks the Cowboys around like T-nole's hoes. Player of the game. the OL as it manhandled a overmatched Cowboys DL.
Next week at Rivals Mainboard Pimps - Meatballs looks to finally get a win on the board against the Pimps.
6(6) - Reykjavík Aggies 5-3 - Ugly game against the Pimps as the Aggies offense could not get anything going at all with only 168.5 yards of total offense. Player of the game: DT The Goddess with 6 tackles, 1 for loss and 1 forced fumble.
Next week at PPP Longnecks - Two teams here looking to get back on track and stay in the playoff race.
7(4)- Rohrheim Stampede 5-3 - Getting run over by Korb can't feel very good. The Stampede needs to figure out what happened to their running game as they were held to -7 yards rushing on 24 carries, or 4 yards on 22 carries if you take away the sacks. Player of the game: Punter Boomer Easlton with a 42.3 average, yes the punter.
Next week at Frankfurt Heat, low scoring here unless one of these teams finally finds their offense.
8(unranked) - MA Trolls 5-3 - Five game winning streak and its safe to say to say the Trolls are back in it. A big win against Multiple Scorgasm not only gives Trolls the win but also a potential tie breaker in determining playoff spots. Player of the game: Kicker Steve Caesar, who was 4 of 6 in field goals, however 2 of those are from 60 yards out, also booted the 40 yard game winner with 30 seconds on the clock
Next week at Porto Reconquistas, the Trolls get another desperate team in Porto. Trolls needs to find their offense as their kicker had to attempt 4 kicks from beyond the 50, can't live on that every week.
Bubble Teams
PPP Longnecks 4-4 - still looking for that big win against top Zeta competition. Going to need a few of those to make playoffs actually.
Porto Reconquistas 4-4 - win a game and lose a game, really needs to win this week against Trolls if they want to keep playoff hopes alive
Multiple Scorgasm 4-4 - stout defensive effort was wasted, that loss really hurts.
Next week vs Oslo Beserker - Roughnecks gets a gimme game here, not sure they really need it. Gets Aggies after this game.
