When the new training system came out I thought I would do plenty of shopping with my level 1 punter to get some decent items to get in on the ground floor. However, after about 7 refreshes I am getting absolutely nothing at all. Usually I get 4 items all with +x% tackle chance, or occasionally a +1 modifyer on something marginally useful such as confidence.

Has anybody got anything good on advanced equipment for a punter, such as a + to Punting or Strength, a boost to an SA (Calm Nerves, Hang Time, Big Boot) or a +% to something punting related? Or should I stop wasting my time and train on intense instead?

If I remember right, Bort alluded that equipment with SAs doesn't show up until sometime after level 5 or so.

It seems equipment is somewhat proportionate in usefulness to your player's level, as well. You're probably more likely to get something that you can actually use the higher level you are (speculation on my part, but it seems to be generally true from what I've observed).

What I suggest is to save bonus tokens for now. Buy whatever cheapest advanced equipment that you can and use that to store your excess bonus tokens until you can find something more worthy. Since the cheap stuff only costs around $500 and you get back half of that when you sell it back in addition to all 8 bonus tokens, it's a good way to bypass the 5 carry over limit from season to season.

Once you level up some more and find a piece of equipment that's actually useful, you can sell off your temporary equipment to get the tokens back and then upgrade the piece that you intend to use.

Atm, you should buy a cheap piece $500-$1000 so you canuse it to store bonus tokens. That's about it.

Okay, fair enough. So does anybody have more of an idea of when the good pieces start coming through? Peon says level 5 for SA upgrades, can anybody confirm this?

Better equipement at level 30.

I got a +1 to Big Boot for my Punter at level 12. (On his 2nd shopping token) Cost 30k.

Wish I could be as lucky with my skill players.
