My FB has 96 pancakes after 8 games so far this season (top 5 for the entire league). He's not really a full blocking build either.
First thing first, soft cap key attributes. My order of importance is strength, blocking, agility, speed, vision/carrying.
Secondly, transfer all your equipment into strength. You'll get more bang for your buck, with all of your equipment into a single attribute. Since the increase is static for equipment, a +1 is a +1, while raising attributes via SP starts to get more expensive for a +1.
Lastly, SA round out your character. You need the attributes first though, without the attributes, most SAs are not worth the SP. With the right attributes, the SAs start to be more valuable per SP spent (as opposed to raising an attribute another point or a fraction of a point).
Things of note... the faster you reach the soft cap, the more you get out of the free points per level increases. So work on getting things soft capped asap, for the most player potential. If you're needed to contribute at a high level immediately, you can ignore this, but you'll be weaker in the long run, compared to a player that does reach those caps sooner.
