For some reason I thought by choosing this formation in your input, it would run your outputs based on the 13 "normal" I formation plays.

I just realized that I (any variation) covers Weak I, Strong I, and Big I as well. Is this correct?

Yes. You have to place the "Any I" input below all of the others, and you have to create an input for EVERY other I-Form (Except BIg-I, which doesn't exist anyway).

Always remember, the most "specific" inputs need to be the highest on your AI. In this case, the specific I-Formation inputs are the most "specific", while the "Any-I", even though it is only pertaining to the Normal-I set, is the least "specific".

I think I used too many words to explain that.. But I think you get it?

So by placing your I (any variation) input under your Weak I and Strong I inputs it wont effect them but will effect only the 13 "normal" I formation plays?

Correct. Also, don't forget to set the # of WR. There is an I-Form with 3 WR (It's a pass), so you'll need an input for that as well. Just use "Any-I" and 3 WR, and stick it right above your other "Any-I" input.

Yeah I got that covered. One more ? - are the plays in Bort's announcement all of the current offensive plays plus a couple new plays that havent been implemented yet, or is there some missing and/or all being used right now? It looks to me like its all the current plays that Ive been seeing all season but a couple look new...

I haven't looked at the list very closely yet, but I do know that the normal I weak pitch is new. I have looked through a bunch of games played today, and every pitch to the left that I've seen has been out of the Singleback-3WR set, so I assume the plays are not in the sim yet.

Really hope he doesn't just add plays all willy nilly. Would be pretty shitty if we don't get any warning.

So far, only the weakside pitch out of the regular I formation and the off tackle run out of the goalline have never been seen before.

I doubt that they are in the game yet.

b.t.w.: When looking at the AI, imagine a stupid computer just comparing the inputs to the situations during the game. He starts at the very first input and checks if the settings are matching. If so, he uses the assigned outputs. If not, he moves on to the next input (and so on). So if you have an "I (any variation)" input above the strong I input, the first one will trigger no matter what. The other way around, the strong I input will leave all situations untouched that are not a strong I.

Bort's announcement indicated that the plays are being added as he goes but the Offensive AI will not be updated with them until the offseason. As of right now I have not seen evidence of any new plays in game.

in basic programming terms it's a series of "if/then" statements
