What do you think is ideal? Different levels will have varying degrees of speed, but what is your two cents?

Depends on if he is playing the NT or the 3-gap DT position. I personally don't feel an NT needs to have much speed at all, maybe 30 by level 24 or so. A DT however should at least get to the first soft cap by 24 and I'm thinking maybe to the second soft cap by level 32.

A DT with no speed = lots of hurries and no sacks.

As a NT my partner DT has 41 speed and hasn't gotten a sack, just a half dozen hurries. So even that isn't foolproof.

Does anyone know if speed and agility make the pass rushing bar go up like they do for DE?

You need speed and agility to rush the passer...who cares what it does the bar.

He cares about the bar because we can see the scouting bar of a very very succesful DT but we can't quite figure out what his build is.

41 is not a lot of speed for a DT in GLB. It should be, but it isn't.

Your right. My DT has 48 and I think I may need to increase it.

True but we are on a 16 capped team.

How is his agility? Vision?

I guess I'm trying to find some sort of pattern within the DT position, but it really isn't happening.

If you want sack production from a DT, get strength, agility, and speed all to the 3:1 cap as quickly as possible. Put all your equipment into agility. I suggest strength to 2:1, then agility to 3:1, then strength to 3:1 then speed to 3:1. After that you can consider putting points into vision and shed block. I would suggest just constantly training vision/confidence on intense training for a while though.
