Any pointers on how to correct this defensive flaw?

When your CBs are outleveled by 5 levels, they should be very cautious about playing Close/Aggressive. You might have to accept them playing Medium coverage.

Other idea - Cover 3 defense when you think their WRs will eat your CBs.

As for that run - Well, your NT's build is open http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=123997 and he's not nearly Strong enough to play NT, nor has he invested in run stuffing SAs. He's all spread out SA wise (bad idea IMO, build your character to do something well in a team concept, not to do a lot of things mediocre.)

Here's a better NT build -

well, yeah.
ok, he was a backup at NT just to give him some snaps, but now is only backing up DT.
Upcoming game also has top 3 WRs outleveling my CBs by about 3-4, so more Cover 3 it is.

Watch what you do with your LBs while playing C3, they can end up lined up on WRs under lots of scenarios...blitzing the wrong LB can = a big swath of the field wide open for 7-10 yard passes.

Why did you blitz 2 CB as well?

Garbage my ass, no one is finding holes or running up the middle against him. period.

That is what happened with that first one. If you have a team with that many good WRs that spreads the field, you can't blitz two CBs, much less one.

Imagine if he actually had a good build then...

Really though, if nobody is running up the middle against your team it's not because of some poor-quality NT.

Here he is giving up a 52-yard run through his starting spot:

Close/aggressive is the most overrated setting in the game. Everyone wants ints on their front page stats, even if it means yielding a high completion rate to the offense.

You got that right. I've seen too many fellow CBs with double mine's speed get blown away by WRs while mine started keeping them in front after making the neccessary change.
Close coverage is only good against slower receivers (often backups or on gutted teams) and teams who may heavily favor shorter routes. When the deflection/reception thing was more out of hand I could understand the aggressive interception tries. But that seems to have been toned down making "safer" tries more sensible against teams you can't afford to give away cheap receptions to.
