I'm almost to the point where I'm going to start working up my LB's specials. My guy plays LOLB and is built as such. What specials are the best for LB's? Also about to buy custom and need to know which tree is best.

All of them suck. I put some in just about everything and not one of them seems worth putting points into. Shed block might be worth a look but honestly, how much re you gonna be blitzing and then how many times out of those blitzes do you think the shed blocks really gonna work? They should really have an SA for reading plays especially for MLBs/ILBs. Have it add a bonus to reading plays so then the LB could really get a jump on the play and get the HB in the back field or what not. I would put points into that.

The only problem I see with diving tackle is it requires more jumping to be effective, when the needed attributes for an effective LB is already spread pretty thin.

All are usefull but none is very powerfull. Just get most to the 2-4 range and you're good.
Only the MLB should get 6+ Def. Gen.

Anyone ever tried pumping glare and trash talk to 10 and 10 to see what kind of combined effect they have on the QB?

It's hilariously easy to just train Jumping and get it to 30+.

Then you're not training other things like stamina, strength, tackling, confidence, etc. I'm just saying jumping is low on the LB totem pole. I think most can agree that effective LB's build like this:
Speed >> Agility >> Vision >>>>> Strength > Tackling >>> Stamina > Confidence >>>> SA's >>> Jumping
Sure, some of those can be switched around depending on preference but no one is going to put Jumping's importance over any of the other things. Using points on things like stamina or confidence hurts, so those are much better training candidates for older LB's than jumping.

probably minimal because LBs seldom sack the QB in GLB. Blocking is just too good.

I think swat ball is worth a couple points if you have jumping trained and the major attributes softcapped.

Those SAs unlike Big Sack dont appear to have sacking the QB as a requirement for activation.

I've seen more effective blitzing by LBs this season than in any other. I can point to at least 3 LBs offhand who are in different conference leaders in sacks. But its an AI thing. If you know what to call . . .

we seem to have had some success blitzing as well although we'll know more after the next game.
