Max # of blitzers: 3 (double checked and correct)

0s in every position I don't want to blitz. (working fine)

LB1-100%
LB2-100%
LB3-50%
SS-50%

Now, it seems to me that the two guys with 100 in their box should blitz 100% of the time (and they do) and the two guys with 50 in their box would alternate as the 3rd blitzer. But, for some reason, that's not the case. More often than not, all 4 guys rush. Needless to say, this leaves the TE free to roam unchecked.

I looked over each of my inputs and this wasn't supposed to happen with any of them.

What am I doing wrong here?

This appears to be a legitimate issue.

What is your basic AI blitz % set to? If it's higher than 0%, perhaps it's overriding the Max Blitzer field and sending both of those guys.

I've got my basic blitz % at 0, and don't even have to put 0's into the boxes. But, I only use 100% on my blitzes.

Make 2 seperate outputs ... one for LB1,LB2,SS and one for LB1,LB2,LB3

3 max blitzers all at 100%

This would be an effective means of working around the bug/human error. Doesn't allow me to have it my way right away, though.

Sounds reasonable, although it would be disappointing if the basic setting could override the advanced AI's parameters.

I screw around with the basic AI blitz % regularly. Might be 25%. Might be 100%. Just depends on which team's defense I'm working with, and on the opponent.

I'll give the 0% a try and see what happens. Thanks, fellas.

I learned this one the hard way. I had max blitzers set at 3, with two players at 100 (LB's) and the 3 CB's at 33 each. On two separate plays, the AI sent all 3 corners instead of just one. Changed that one real quick. Thankfully, I tested that in a pre-season game and not a regular season one.

Yeesh. No way that could end well.

Might be something worth PMing support about...even though I'm quite sure they're sick of my ass by now.

Have to use the Buxx method until something changes.

In order to give each guy a fair chance of blitzing, the SIM checks the numbers in random order.

So there are times it checkes the SS first and decides to blitz him (chance: 50%). Then it might randomly choose to check the LOLB before the other 2 blitzers and decides to blitz him too (chance: 50%).

... then you got a problem.

It shouldn't blitz all 4 guys though. But sometimes a LB picking up a HB heading in the flats looks like a blitzer at first sight.

Best way to handle this is to set up 2 outputs (3 blitzers each, 1 for the SS blitz, 1 for the LOLB blitz).
