I'm building my third DT, and second NT. This one I'm doing something different. I'm bringing Strength to the second soft cap before I spend any other SP on any other stat. That is the goal. I was wondering if it would be smart to try for the 3rd soft cap too.

If I was to do it over and try something different w/ a NT I would do that w/ agility not strength. It doesn't seem to matter how strong a NT is he's not going to beat those double teams w/ strength!

I would like to hear if anyone has had any noticable effect w/ working on blocking w/ their NTs? Bort has said from the beginning that blocking may help shed blocks but I've never heard anyone back this up w/ real experience.

Right now im working on an all speed and agility DT. Strength NT's and DT's dont seem to be able to rush the passer

you have to have strength to be a NT but also a high agility and speed help tons mine has 75 str and 65 agi and 50 some speed.

dt's are not supposed to be pass rushers traditionally they fill up holes and eat double teams for the ends and linebackers

thats great and all but its not what they do and if they set up there dt/nt that way there just hanging the linebackers out to dry and eat double teams

That only happens when the DT gets pancaked. You can have an aggressive DT that breaks blocks and makes plays without affecting the LB.

Also to build on that by being able to get pressure on the quarterback by just using the front four it can create better coverage opportunities in the secondary.

Monte Kiffin's made a pretty nice living living off of that strategy. There's nothing wrong with running a one-gap scheme. If you have a 3-technique that can generate pressure up the gut, that's not a bad thing at ALL.

you not supposed to get pancaked your supposed to eat the double team and get through with a smile on your face, hence the special abilities that allow you to fight off double teams but those are all based on strength
