Hey everybody. I'm sure most of you remember this matchup. It was the one that forced the Bearphins to come back to BBB12 to dominate again for season 3.

the season 2 Eastern finals rematch is on today at 3 and the Bearphins are heavy favorites going in.

Bearphins @ Badgers - From all appearances, the Badgers are about to start a freefall. They just lost their kicker, have several inactive players just sitting on the roster, and just don't seem to have it together. The Bearphins, on the other hand, are looking to put their opening day debacle behind them. Bearphins 69 - Badgers 17

whats with the 3rd different QB in 3 seasons?

Well the QB we had for S2 and S3 was built to be a running a QB, hence the name Mike Vick. We tried to fix him for 2 seasons but he was doomed. I think that makes our undefeated season in S3 all the more impressive because we succeeded in spite of him throwing more picks than TDs. He was so ineffective that he was retired by his owner at level 28 after we replaced him.

Last season we got a new QB and won with him because he was solid. He, like so many on this site, was somewhat immature and had a QB ego. He didn't like that we had a backup QB. He also worried about getting his stats because he was 16 years old. I wasn't about to change our successful playing style to cater to him when we knew we could run it down everyone's throat last year. If he was a little more patient he would be passing a lot more this season in Honolulu, but he wanted to test the market to get his stats and be the only QB on the roster. To me, it just wasn't worth arguing with him about his stats, so we let him explore his options and go elsewhere to pass every down. We knew we'd have no problem finding another good QB because we have guys on our team that own QBs. Our new QB is owned by the guy who ran all over you guys for the past 3 seasons.

geeze you were so modest before you left this league

But yeah, the 'stud' players are more pain then worth in the end. And any that ask to go I am only to happy to comply with. I do not think there is a player yet that is that worth it to have to have to deal with the ego. Another reason I do not think the team player vs. ego player will fly in this game. Only unless they open up one position on a capped team, to have a level 30 on a capped level 13 team might have a big impact.

And in general the Huskers have not been doing as well. But then again the parity seems a little better the higher you go with no team seeming 'owning' the conference.

I'm still modest. Just telling it like it is with our QB situation. We ran at will in S3 and went 16-0, so it wasn't much of a stretch to think we could do it last season. Especially with more bad teams dropping down from the upper league and one good team leaving.

As far as the Husker go, I'm not sure why they're struggling, but maybe the changes Bort made to speed has hurt them more than others. Their builds probably aren't as balanced as the average build because they focused on speed so much. It will take a little time for them to balance out some of their players. I think the changes last season made our team stronger because we were not even the fastest team in the BBB.

And I know, you guys pretty much owned the league for 2 seasons, just giving you a hard time just because I am jealous

true, a lot of the better players were speed players, not so much with that change.

Well I'm not Modest. We destroyed the Badgers!!!

POGs = Adrian Michels. 300.5 yard receiving, 3 TDs.
Awesome Lee = 568yds, 5 TD
Los Yoyo = 13 rushes, 101.5 yards, 7.8 YPC, 2 TDs
bryan lacher = 1 sack, 5 tackles, 1 hurry, 2 TFL
Cago Eman = 4 tackles, 1 FF, 1 TFL, 1 PD

I'm not surprised HBB is doing well. You guys have a solid team. I wouldn't say the Bugeaters are dropping off that much though. Last season they did end with the #1 seed in the West. The season before that they had a top 4 seed. There was also a few mess ups with the advanced ai in the game vs HBB. That 4th and 12 pitch play on the 5 was pretty bad. That stop sealed the game. It does look like HBB will have a top 4 seed this season.
