Apparently, Issue 2 got lost somewhere between the writers and the internet guys...I apologize for what occurred there...It's not easy running this sort of show...

Not a bad start for the Freedom Scrolls...Let's see if we can keep it going this week...
(8) State of Texas Domination (0-2) vs. Deimon Devil Bats (0-2)
This is a matchup of what we call in racing, also-rans...Texas' best player is their punter, while Deimon is still trying to build a team...These two teams put the crap in scrappy...I honestly don't know how to make a pick in this game because I don't know much about the two teams...Deimon 28-Texas 10
(7) Clemson Gamecock Kickers (0-2) vs. Baltimore Hustle (0-2)
Another matchup of teams that most likely won't be contending for the playoffs this season...There is a noticeable divide in the conference between the upper crust and the paper shreddings at the bottom of the bird cage...These two teams both belong to the latter...Clemson, while appearing to have some players, is no match for Baltimore, who is making a concerted effort to improve...The guys from the ACC are no matchup for the money makers from B-More...Baltimore 45-Clemson 17
(6) Saginaw Spirit (1-1) vs. Richmond Empire (0-2)
Saginaw proved that just because they're rebuilding doesn't mean that they're going to be a pushover against Deimon last week...Luckily for them, they get another easy game this week to continue their recruiting efforts...The now infamous Empire have suffered through two horrible ownership regimes, and are still among the tail chasers in the league...Saginaw is starting to bring in some players, and cannot truly be counted out in any way, shape, or form...Saginaw 54-Richmond 3
(5) Jax Beach Juggernaut (1-1) vs. Frostburg Bobcats (1-1)
Frostburg is lucky to be 1-1, having been given the cakewalk against Texas in their first game this year...They unfortunately ran into the re-built and, in this owner's eyes, very impressive Cleveland team...Jax Beach also has found out about Cleveland, who gave them their only loss so far...Jax Beach rebounded in a big way against Clemson last week, and is primed to take this game going away...Jax Beach 63-Frostburg 7
(4) Lincoln Freedom Warriors (1-1) vs. River City Ransom (1-1)
River City seemed pretty poised to give Appalachian a run for their money, having dispatched Richmond fairly easily in the season opener...However, Appalachian showed them that they're still not quite ready for prime time...Lincoln was flat in their second game against one of the championship favorites in Red Bank...Lincoln is pretty much better all across the board...This game should be well within reach for Lincoln by the end of the 3rd Quarter...Lincoln 42-River City 28
(3) Cleveland Buckeyes (2-0) vs. Louisville Baby Kittens (2-0)
There were three games that could have easily been chosen Game of the Week for this weeks selections...Cleveland has surprised just about everyone in this league, including myself...The newly re-tooled team is now on the cusp of being a true championship contender...In any previous season, this could have spelled real trouble for the Baby Kittens...However, Louisville's prime position players have already boosted this season, and that spells big trouble for most of the league...This is one of the games that really worries me about being wrong this week...Cleveland could pull another shocker and upset Louisville...However, I see the combination of Kamikaze Kitten and Kyle Kortnue being too much for Cleveland...Louisville 35, Cleveland 28
(2) Houston Armageddon (2-0) vs. Appalachian Lycans (1-1)
This is probably the most intriguing matchup of the week...Appalachian lost in the season opener to Red Bank...However, we've seen that Red Bank is for real...Houston has thrown a beatdown on Deimon and Richmond, so it would appear that their record is skewed...The history for Houston has shown that they can be a scrappy team, and can even pull upsets...However, Appalachian's history is just a little bit brighter, having been right on the verge of a championship in all 3 seasons that this league has been around...I have to give the nod to Appalachian in this battle...Appalachian 42-Houston 31
(1) GAME OF THE WEEK: Red Bank Thundercats (2-0) vs. Syracuse Samurai (2-0)
Red Bank is for real...They have already taken down two of the conference's heavyweights in their first two games...Syracuse is another team that is close to being one of the top team's in the league, and while they are 2-0, their two wins have come against Baltimore and Clemson, not exactly tough competition...Don't get it twisted though, Syracuse is a very tough team...This slugfest in Syracuse is going to show whether or not Syracuse is ready to join the domain of Red Bank, Appalachian, and Lincoln...Red Bank 31, Syracuse 24
Hope you all enjoy the write-up...It was really not easy to select a game of the week from the top 3 games...Any of these matchups have game of the year possibilities...Good Luck to everyone, and we'll see you for Issue 4...

Seriously though, while I will acknowledge that your team looks a lot better this year then previous ones, I do not see you pulling the upset off. I also don't see you losing by almost 300 points, but I don't think that this is your year. Well, let me rephrase that... I think your odds of hitting the playoffs are possible, just not going up this year. There is a feeding frenzy at the very top of this conference this year and I think that the most likely teams to go to the championship game this year are gonna be one of the, universally accepted, "top 4". In my estimation these are the rankings of the top teams in the Conference, Louisville, Red Bank, Lincoln, and Appalachian. ANY of those teams could pull this off and even bring about the "upset". Your coming along nicely and I don't want you to think that I'm coming down on you, but I don't think you've broken into the top 5 this year. Keep up the good work though and you will likely be there next season. Good luck... and hey... if you can the prove me wrong and force me to shut my yap...
