The Caps score so much against crappy teams because they are to insecure in their status to close out a game. They want everyone to think that they are the best, so they run up the score. If the Caps played French Lick, they would get demolished. If the French Licks got a scrimmage against the Caps and won, the Caps would say they fucked up their lineup on purpose (Darius would have 3 missed tackles). The River Rats are a vastly improved team that would kick the crap out of the Caps, but the Caps would still only be experimenting. Caps, stay out of the West's business until you play a real game against them. Then you can say which West teams suck (but would still kick your asses).

Last season, and seasons previously, I considered our team to be an overachieving group of decent players.

We had massive upgrades this season at numerous positions. This season I feel that if we do not succeed in our goal of making it to the championship game we would truly be underachievers not living up to our self-created hype.

I hope for your sake your claim of going to win the championship doesn't play out similar to your claims of the 16-0 season...

Lose or not, I am still not looking forward to playing the Lickers, their roster is just...nasty. I honestly expected them to win this game, but perhaps chemistry does still play a decent part. I know most of us at Freemont will not be taking our game with them lightly, but that is just my lowly opinion from a team who loves to go into the playoffs as a #1 seed and then play patty-cake with ISB, so take it for what you will

Either way, at least the Lickers are an interesting team on the field (and on the boards) and not just another gutted/sold/CPU-ed team that moved down to the BBB, we got enough of those.
