This season ill start doing a little more in these forums instead of just my own teams. SO with that being said, each week(every 2 days) ill keep an up-to-date Power Rankings. This is all my own opinion. you can agree or disagree, it doesnt matter. just something to read, pass time, discuss, etc. Ill also do one review write-up for what i think the game of the week is, and preview for that game on the following weeks rankings....Anyways here it goes...
***Week 2 Polls***
****Zeta Rankings****
Rank – Record - Team(Last Weeks Rank) - Spots Moved - Notes
1. (1-0)Rotterdam Roughnecks(1) 0 – The Roughnecks show why they are #1 in Zeta with a very convincing win over the #3 HEAT 62-10. The Roughnecks scored early and often behind the arm of Corey Smith(5TDs) and behind the legs of Brady Smith and Gabriel Knight who combined for a total of 272.5 yards. Rotterdam plays the stampede next, and these two always have very close games.
2. (1-0)Rivals Mainboard Pimps(2) 0 - The Pimps continue to look strong in their season opener. Lee Suggs was player of the game and for good reason. On only 15 carries he had 187.5 yards and 2 long TD scampers. RMBP get Porto next, I look for the pimps to move to 2-0.
3. (1-0)Stokholm Meatballs(10) +7 – The Meatballs definitely are the big winners this week. Moving up 7 spots in my rankings after a huge win, and very surprising to me, over the Trolls. The Meatballs get to take somewhat easy next week when they travel to Valencia to take on the Billy Goats. The meatballs will be moving to 2-0.
4. (1-0)Reyjavik Aggies(6) +2 – The Aggies had one of the more easier opponents today and did what they had to do to get a win. Nothing special here and neither will their next opponent, Oslo. Look for the aggies to have basically a bye, until they reach their first test in week 3 vs the Scorgasms.
5. (1-0)PPP Longnecks(7) +2 – The longnecks were lucky to start off slow in the PROs with an easy matchup vs the Berserkers. They will have their hands full next week when they have to go into Multiple to play the Scorgasms. I still don’t know much about PPP, but from their game with Oslo, I think they will come just short of beating the scorgasms.
6. (1-0)Rohreim Stampede(8) +2 – The stampede once again look like they are here to compete and did so in a 42-30 shootout over the RAGE. The stampede love to play the Roughnecks who they have basically owned since season 1. This game should be a dogfight and be close, I don’t think Rohrheim has the firepower to slow down the Rotterdam offense though, so I think stampede lose a close one.
7. (1-0)Korb Destroyers(9) +2 – Korb continue to impress me. Even when their passing game was shutdown, they still find ways to get things done. Big day on the ground for Hot Runner and a huge INT return for a TD won the game for them today. Korb will go head to head vs the Trolls. I don’t think the Trolls will be able to turn things around yet, and I see Korb winning this one.
8. (0-1)Multiple Scorgasms(5) -3 – The Gasms had a tough game at hand in their opener, the RMBP. They played a good game, but gave up a couple big plays for TDs and had a costly fumble that was returned for a TD. They get the new team PPP next and I think they will turn things around with a win.
On the Bubble
9. (1-0)Porto Reconquistas(12) +3
10. (0-1)Paris Musketeers(11) +1
11. (0-1)MA Trolls(4) -7

14. (0-1)Valencia Billy Goats(15) +1

Game of the Week 1 Review
Rotterdam Roughnecks(1) vs. Frankfurt HEAT(3)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=141612
Game Prediction: Rotterdam 30-23
Actual Outcome: Rotterdam 62-10
Season Record: 1-0
- Rotterdam has finally figured out the HEAT and proved they are the defending Zeta Champs. What was thought to be a shootout turned into a very one-sided shootout. The Roughnecks scored early and often and never looked back. The defense was everywhere and never gave the HEAT offense a chance to get rolling. The key point to the game was the Rotterdam defense was only on the field for 51 plays which allowed them to stay fresh as compared to the HEAT defense who struggled all game and was on the field for 92 plays. Corey seemed to always find the open man, and Brady/Gabe seemed to always get enough for a first down. The chaingang was quoted after the game saying, “We will never do this for a Rotterdam game again, im considering retirement im so tired!”
Player of the Game: Gabriel Knight and Brady Smith. Combined 272.5 yards for 4 TDs.
Pull your head out Award: HEAT coaching staff. Not sure how you can gameplan that bad…I do believe you will turn it around though.
