Anyone use it or know at what strength it would be beneficial to use? Is it like Elusive and just not trustable?

I posted this in the combo vs elusive thread but I will re-post here because I prefer power running.
Anyone else having problems with fumbling using power running. My HB has strength of 55, carrying 40, stamina 38, but confidence of 25. He has Cover Up of 5. If I use elusive he doesn't fumble, but on combo and power he fumbles twice a game. Once on carrying, once on receiving. His yds/gm go way down on elusive so I prefer to use combo or power but obviously don't want to cough up the ball. Any ideas? Does confidence have an effect on carrying?

I have 79 strength with equipment and power running is, without doubt, the most effective for high strength runners to use. I broke 7 tackles last game en route to a 99.5 yard game on 14 carries and 2 touchdowns.
Regarding your exact question, I've been told to get strength to 60 raw and have heeded this advice somewhat. I have 57 raw currently at level 24 and am facing players well above my level. You can make your own judgments from that.

Is 55 your total strength of the runner in question with equipment? If you're looking for contact with 55 total strength therein lies your problem. I'd say you need to go with combo, only because I'm working off of the assumption that your speed and agility are likely in the 30-40 range as well.

Yeah, I used power today and it worked out pretty nicely. Now I just need to avoid those damn diving tackles, grr!

Yeah, Cecil had the same problem as his build advanced. I have a pretty decent amount of agility with what I would consider high strength, so it would frustrate me when I would go inside and dodge people but get tackled from behind by the NT. I then remembered advice that one of the better advice-givers gave me: It's all in the power back SA's. If you "POWER THRU" them or "STIFF ARM" them, they can't tackle you unless they're like a corner, linebacker, or safety with like 60 speed and get to you 30-40 yards down the field. Put them on their asses and they can't play football when they're on the ground.

Power running got nerfed around week 12 of last season. It looks to be back more effective than it was for the latter portion of last season, however.
