The Rest of Alpha

_________________________________________________________________________________________
Richmond Renegades
(formerly the Nice Dauphins)

Last Season: I'm actually not really sure (gutted and sold after last season)

Previous Post Season Success: None, new team, new ownership

Reasons Will Make Playoffs: The only way the Renegades can avoid relegation, let alone make the playoffs, is if other teams are gutted and sold during the season.

Reasons Won't Make Playoffs: Overcoming being gutted is almost impossible in one season, and it almost assures a team of a losing season. Richmond (where is Richmond in Europe exactly?) has a good start on building a strong team, but it will be a couple of seasons before we see them back in the Pros.

Season 5 Regular Season Record: 0-16

London Monarchs

Last Season: 9-7

Previous Post Season Success: Lost in second round in Season 1; Lost in first round in Season 2; Lost in first round in Season 3; Overall post season record (1-3)

Reasons Will Make Playoffs: Last year, the Monarchs barely missed the playoffs after a 4 game winning streak to close the season. The Monarchs are a bunch of football savvy guys, and with the return of Mike Rogers, look for the Monarchs playoff absence to end.

Reasons Won't Make Playoffs: London couldn't keep up with the tougher competition being brought into the pros last season, and its only getting harder this year.

Season 5 Regular Season Record: 10-6

E-City Mercenaries

Last Season: 8-8

Previous Post Season Success: Lost in second round in Season 1; Lost in second round in Season 2; Overall post season record (2-2)

Reasons Will Make Playoffs: Zickzack kept the Mercenaries competitive last year, beating a couple of playoff teams in the regular season. If they can build on that success and gain some consistency, things will be looking up.

Reasons Won't Make Playoffs: After posting 8-8 records the previous 2 seasons, E-City need something to push them over the edge. If they can't find it, another 8-8 season is in their future.

Season 5 Regular Season Record: 8-8

Stuttgart Nighthawks

Last Season: 8-8

Previous Post Season Success: Lost in first round in Season 1; Overall post season record (0-1)

Reasons Will Make Playoffs: Stuttgart has always beaten some teams they probably shouldn't, lost to some teams they probably shouldn't, and have always kept it close. With the emergence of Hugh Cannon last season and a good looking offensive line, this could be the season Stuttgart wins those games they should and makes it back to the post season.

Reasons Won't Make Playoffs: I'm trying to come up with something so that I don't just sound like a broken record, but with alot of these teams, its going to come down to whether or not they can keep up with the increased overall talent of the league. Without a new X-factor or improved tactics, not cutting it last year will mean not cutting it this year.

Season 5 Regular Season Record: anywhere from 6-10 to 8-8

You're getting awfully predictable T-Noles, I know you can do better.

It may be predictable, but it's also true

Sorry NEC, I'm still going to finish these, things have just gotten kind of busy the last few days and I wasn't expecting it to. I'll have it finished out by the end of the week for sure.
