Updated

Strength: 80.37
Speed: 48.87
Agility: 65.37
Jumping: 19.18
Stamina: 39.6
Vision: 24.64
Confidence: 19.44
Tackling: 35.37
Blocking: 14.6

Strength and Agility is to 2nd soft cap, Pass rush SA's suck, so do I increase Tackling, Vision or work Agility\strength to 3rd softcap? Perhaps Wall SA?

My thoughts are to train Vision to 30, and spend SP's on Tackling.

STR and more STR for your level your weak imo...

I shouldnt get pushed around except in higher leagues, want just enough strength to not get pancaked and allow the agility to break blocks.

Have read where many guys say that high strength is not the way to go...feel I am not that low on strength.

My DT is lower level than you so take what I say with a grain of salt. But I agree with you, I think for your level that your str is fine. For my DT, my goal is to get both agility/str to 68 and spread equipment equally so that they'll both be over 80 soon after that.

As far as your guy if it was my DT I'd work on getting my agility up, then speed up some then vision.

Interesting, thanks Motiak. Does anyone think I will ever need more than 46 speed at the DT position. I figure agility will accelerate him to the QB, but will he get to 46 speed? If I get his speed to 60, is that a waste?

Yeah, I'm going out on a limb with speed, I just know that last season I only got hurries and the QB would just constantly run backward away from me and get some crazy pass off. I just don't want the QB to be able to get those passes off anymore. I have no precedent for increasing speed that high.

So you are thinking low 50's in speed?

That's probably what I'll do. You should honestly probably wait for someone more qualified to give their input though .

I would at least get speed to the first cap since you are so close.
Probably would be the last time you had to spend SPs on it.

I would constantly intense train Vision/Confidence.

Spend future SPs on tackling and then agility.

Maybe consider shed block SA...I am experimenting with it right now with my DT that is simular level...no results yet as I did it this offseason.

Pass block SAs do not suck.

Speed of 48ish is plenty.

Vision, tackling, jumping, speed...in no particular order. More strength is good too, but that would pretty much make you look like every other DT out there...

Show me a DT who has more than 5 sacks in a season that likes them?

I've been getting into the backfield consistently (albeit in a level 21 capped league) with my level 17 DT and I have minimal SAs (3-4-1-1-1 in pass rush currently).

My DT has 1-1-1-1-1 for pass rush SA's and had 72 tackles, 17 hurries and 5 sacks last year, 15 tackles, 5 hurries and a sack through 3 games this season. I am not convinced SA's are worth it over physical attributes.

I think agility is a much bigger part of DT pass rushing than str or SAs. Not saying that they're not important because they obviously both are, but agility feels like the thing that gets DTs in the backfield.
