I would think that 2 QB's would be better since, you won't have to put as many points into stamina and if something negative happens to 1 QB (like a sack or INT), then it doesn't affect the other QB.

Lastly, when targeting receivers gets better, I would think that you could target upto 4 different receivers instead of just 2.

Are there any benefits to only having 1 QB besides the fact that it is a little easier to get the advanced personal tactics set with 1 player instead of 2?

This only works if you have 2 QBs are pretty similar in skills. If there is a semi-large differance between the 2, you might as well ride the better QB in this situation.

EDIT: Fixed a typo

Exactly. Yes if you have 2 you can get by with less stamina and more skill but the bigger the difference between the two players the harder it will be to come up with a game plan that plays to the strengths of both QBs. Obviously the biggest differance would be scrambling vs pocket QBs, but high-vision, high-confidence QBs that throw lots of short-medium can also have significantly different strengths compared to high-strength ones that throw more bombs.

However since you asked about the benefits I'll go ahead and throw out what I would say is the biggest benefit and the only reason I'll ever sign a 2nd QB to my roster. Injuries are going to be put in eventually and having a 2nd QB that has played a lot in your offense can only be a good thing when that happens. If you have 2 guys that are OK with splitting time and you think they are similar enough you can sub one in for the other without it killing your game plan then you are ahead of the curve.

If you have 2 QBs with different build like say one a lot of strength and the other a lot of vision is set up your strength QB to target your speed/deep guys and your vision guy target your possession guys. Other than that I'm not sure this would work. On my team we have 2 almost identical QBs so I'm not worried about stamina. But then again I own my entire offense so I'm not worried about a drop of between starter and backup. For that matter I juggle the 2 to ensure they get even playing time and XP.
