I never had a problem tracking down fast WRs until the end of last season. Since then, I've been getting burned deep by speedy wideouts at least 1 or 2 times a game. I think I have decent speed, but maybe its not enough? I have 21 points to spend (3 boosts and 6 CE). Any thoughts on where should I put my points to avoid getting burned deep?

What is your SS set to for pass coverage?

If you want answers on a specific issue, it's always best to post links to plays that can help illustrate the problem you are having.

They fixed run styles and carrying styles. So evasive doesnt run into players that often, maybe thats the problem. I really dont know what to tell you. Im not that high of level and im not a SS. Maybe get agility and vision up? Speed? I think you should get confidence to 30 along with jumping and catching - from training not SP.

if you want to run down those WRs, get your closing speed SA up. it's like adding a ridiculous amount of points in speed when you have to chase people down

Speed on the CE and spend points in agility. Even without seeing what's happening to your guy, I'm pretty sure it's the same things that happen to my SS, and most of that is the fault of the Zone AI... and of course pump fakes. So vision is something you'll want to work on also, but the agility is going to help you more all around.

Last season safeties had major issues playing cover 2 on pass plays... they just had no idea where they should be playing and instead played approximately right between the recievers on their half of the field instead of making sure nobody got past them. At least one guy was always past the safeties. I've not seen much this season yet but I'd guess the same general things are happening.

I really cant figure out why your getting burned deep, when comparing your stats vs mine they are very similar but your speed is faster then mine and I have only been burnt over the top twice in 4 season. I would have to guess that there is a correlation between the amount of man vs zone and how your pass coverage is set up that is causing this setback.
