I think that agents shouldn't be allowed in other teams from the same league. There is no real reason other than collusion or getting free trophies, etc... And it undermines other people who are trying hard to get their team built.

My $.02

There are plenty of reasons. One, finances. Two, help a team fix their weakness. Three, help a team with tactics. There is a huge list.

I think I started this hole debate last season, maybe even in season 2. I've never shared game tactics between teams. When you get to know people and respect them, I see no problem having them be a part of your team. With the Slugs, I joined them to try to help with some finance stuff. We do discuss overall team tactics as we can share what has worked for our team and what hasn't. Even if we weren't GMs on each other's teams, we could do this through PMs.

A team I played for in season 1 was having some difficulties this season. The owner PM'd me and we talked for a while so I invited him to be a GM on my team to see how I run things. In turn he made me a GM to see if I could help him with build advice.

There has never been any player trades between any of the teams I GM or own. I've never released a player to join another team in the same league or conference. The only players I signed from a team I GM was from Tecmo. The only reason I am a GM for them is because I was going to sign Unconquered's CB. I did send two of my own players to my GM's team in South America AA4 this last season. There is no collusion, there is no gutting.

Quite frankly, I don't care if you guys think it is cheating. We don't do anything wrong. If the admin ever say they don't want us to GM teams in the same league or conference, I'll stop. Now the Wookiees are in town so you all better watch out.

All the reasons you cited were reasons to be a GM. We all know why GMs are GMs. The debate isn't about being a GM. Its about being GMs in two teams with the same goal. We all know its "a game", to even use that in a response is just silly. This is just a debate about a concept of the game.

GMs on two or more teams that share the same goal is going to be considered un-fair, cheating, or just against the American Football conceptually by more people than not. Nothing you say or do will change that. Nobody is saying anyone did anything shady, at least that I have read. I just personally hope this is addressed by the admins at some point in the future.

are you upset because I haven't offered to help out the 10-Yard Fight?

hahaha, j/k

I don't see the point in GMing more than one team in the same conference. First off there are plenty of teams out there that need some help so if you just want to help out someone that needs it you can find another league fairly easily. Second, how objective can you be if your two teams face each other? I would almost guarantee you will play favorites. It's just human nature. Third, just because you say you don't share info does not actually mean you won't share inside information later. You all know how things can happen when people get emotional or when someone with authority starts acting like a huge douche bag.

There are plenty of teams out there. The problem is I don't know those owners. I have only accepted GM positions from teams I have talked with the owners. My goal is not to make every team I help out dominant. It is to help someone I have met on here and now consider a friend out. When you talk about playing favorites, I make no bones about it. I want the Ewoks to do the best. They are the team I have put together and work the hardest on. That doesn't mean I don't want other teams to be competitive. It is a lot more fun beating a team who is a very even match. You get bored playing weak teams.

Depending on what type of GM duties you have on a team really determines whether it is a conflict of interestes or not. If your involved in the ability to make roster moves for a team then I don't think you (not you tyante, just using you in general) would do your best for the team you GM as apposed to own. If you came across a FA that both teams could use, you would recruit the player to your own team instead of the one you GM. As far as other types of duties like, financial planner, DC, or OC then as long as your not in the same league it wouldn't be a conflict of interest. When they are in the same league it definitely is a conflict of interest because any help you give to another team takes you away from your own team.

It really doesn't matter what anyone else does regarding their team or GM status for another team because it doesn't involve my team at all. It puts us at an advantage if owners and GMs want to spread themselves out because any time spent on any other team then their own may hurt them.

All in all it is each individuals prerogative. Everyone takes this game at different seriousness levels. I don't take the game so serious as when I first started.
