this is a controversial thought; I believe jumping is something that is considered for a D-Lineman.

I don't mean that any of us should softcap it by any means, but I think it would be beneficial to train up to 20 or so (without spending SPs).

WRs use jumping to catch balls, and according to bort "jump" or hurdle over diving tacklers.

conversely, I believe that jumping helps to make diving tackles, or to swat balls in the air.

On that note, has anyone ever swatted a ball?

I've been thinking jumping could be beneficial as well. As the NFL test players broad jump to gauge their explosiveness, so perhaps a DE with decent jumping would explode on the snap.

Also, my DE does have a PD, but he just tipped to the HB on a screen.

I've seen DTs get ints before as well, so yea it does something. And yes, it does help with diving tackles.

Jumping is not just for vertical axis. I have seen some great DE sack builds that have 30 jumping and 15 blocking and they outperform those DE's that add the blocking skill.

I've trained jumping pretty regularrily on all my DT's. It does help with diving tackles...but not so much for PD's.

At one point I had 5 PDs in 8 games at the end of Season 2. Since then, that guy has had just 1. I'm guessing either QBs abilities have grown above getting a lot of PDs, or some game mechanic has made them go away for the most part.
