i would like some feedback. i was attempting to go with a pass rusher with my first guy i have ever created. i realized i made some mistakes along the way. after reading this part of the forum, i have sold some of my gear and purchase new ones with the emphasis put on speed/agility. the goal is to become a solid pass rusher. so this is what i have so far.......

Physical Attributes Football Skills
Strength: 54.8 Blocking: 14.6
Speed: 58.4 Tackling: 30.97
Agility: 61.41 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 16.58 Catching: 10
Stamina: 41.64 Carrying: 9
Vision: 24.1 Kicking: 7
Confidence: 25.71 Punting: 8


my containment abilities are 1 1 1 0 0
my special abilities are 5 2 3 5 3

on advance tactics, i use evasive and usually go with wrap up unless our team suggests something else.

my next step is to put 1 more point on agility to get the second soft cap and then focus on speed until i get the second soft cap. i have my training set for vision.

does anyone have any other suggestions i should look at or am i pretty much in the right ball park???

I think you would do better on the right side, the left side you will need more strength to prevent being pancaked on runs.

i thought about that as well. in fact, i was thinking of suggesting this to my defensive coordinator after making the recent switches.

i also started a new DE emphasizing with the pash rush. right now, im on a CPU team. at level 5, i have the following....

Physical Attributes Football Skills
Strength: 17 Blocking: 10.8
Speed: 29 Tackling: 15
Agility: 33 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 10.8 Catching: 9
Stamina: 15.8 Carrying: 10
Vision: 12.89 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 10.8 Punting: 10


i set my training on vision. still will take the evasive route on advance tactics. my goal with this guy is to get speed/agility to soft cap as soon as possible. once i get the special abilities function working, i will focus on tunnel vision.

54 str is more than enough to avoid the pancake....

Also, condense equipment down into one stat. Get both agility and speed to the 2nd cap and work from there.

i switched my equip from strength to agility and had a major decrease in stats, switched back to str and i get a sack on a lvl 29 OT.

I switched my equipment around also from agility to strength and was able to get 2 sacks.

Not on the left side it isnt...against the run, you will be pancaked repeatedly with 54 strength going against TE's and ROT's, sometimes being double-teamed, best case is you are ineffective against the run with that kind of strength.

I would suggest an increase of strength on the left side, or a move to the right side as is.

False is correct. Don't need 50+ strength to be successful as a Pro level LDE.

My De has just over 50 str and I can't remember the last time he was pancaked, its hard to pancake a guy that runs right around ya
