Some of you might remember my last topic about the QB position being all random. Well I guess I really didn't communicate what I was getting at. What I am wanting to know is how do you really rank QB's?

More importantly I want to know can a QB in Goallineblitz excel on a bad/medicore team? My answer is I do not think so.

For example, take the best QB in Goallineblitz and put him on a team that is average and all of a sudden he isn't the best QB anymore.

With this knowledge how do you rank QBs here? Do you just go by their game stats or by the way they distributed their skill points?

If you clearly look at game stats it might be misleading. For example there might be two QB's right now with the same exact build, only one of those QB's is on a team that is in first or second place and the other QB is on a team that is in tenth place. Obviously the QB who is on the higher ranking team will have better stats. So does that make him the better QB?

I want to see a QB excel on a bad team - I do NOT think that can happen here in Goallineblitz. This was the idea I was trying to express earlier.

I rank QBs:

1. TD:INT ratio (except for D League)
2. Completion %
3. How much I like their name
4. How much I like their avatar
5. Historical performance
6. Level
7. Dartboard
8. Coin flip
9. 2nd Coin flip
10. Passing Yardage

1. INTs
2. Completion %
3. Y/A
4. Y/C

Team is also relevant.

Well personally I think what your saying is common sense. I don't think any good QB can go to a team that is average and turn them around. There may be some noticable diff. in the game play and what not, but nothing to big. That is why this is a team game. Everyone is important, from tactics to stamina, we all need to be there to give the team a shot at getting better

I have a QB and a WR on 2 diff. teams. The WR's team is clearly better, and the QB on that team has almost an identical build to my QB. My QB is doing better stat wise though. That would go against what I previously stated, but the other QB had a backup for a while, and on top of that the competition is way tougher in his conf.

TD:INT ratio is the main one I look at.

1. Agent Name
2. Strength of league
3. QB rating

Consider team strength in comparison of the league and then look at TD:INT ratio

Lol looking at TDs as an important stat. TD = another completion that happens to be in the endzone.

The real TDs that matters is how many times your QB can lead down the field for one. Not throws himself.

There is a reason why the best QBs in the NFL has the most TDs, if you lead the team down the field alot, obviously you should be able to score a lot of TDs

i use completion percentage (measure of success) and yards-per-completion (measure of how much success). some say yards-per-attempt is a 1-stat measure of those two stats but i like to look at them separately b/c it's easier to see.

TD's are tough to call in this game, because of blowouts. Games where QB's put up 13, 14 TD's in a game. Just not fair to judge off of that. I base it off of INT's per pass attempts.

I think the QB rating is the best way to judge a QB, although taking blowouts into account. I don't INT are the best way to judge as they could be due to bad o-line forcing the QB to throw on the run, or just a good defence.
My QB hasn't thrown an INT yet in 188 attempts, but to be honest he's not that good a QB yet.

Obviously you don't count games against gutted teams towards any calculation

Problem with judging just off Ints per attempt is it skews effectivness when looking at vertical passing gunslingers to Game managing Dink and Dunkers, QB's who take risks by throwing the more difficult passes downfield but for ultimatley more reward may have a not so favourable Int per attempt but may have thrown for a lot more TD's and a lot more yards and therefore being more effective overall.
