I want to double cover a lv. 29 WR for the whole game. What is the best way to do this? Cover 2, with long coverage distance?

I checked the replays and is consistently lined up in the WR1 spot.

you could play cover 2 and the FS and SS would give over the top support for 2 players who go deep, if he doesnt go deep then your sol. could also play maybe 3-1 dime cover 0 and that could possible double him every time that defense is called outside of 5wr shotgun. but that would effectively double every wr and possible TE. your run D might go to the crapper

3-1 is quarter.

3-2 is dime.

And just to reiterate, there is currently no surefire way of doubling a specific receiver. Cover 1, man underneath will bring your SS up to cover someone, but he'll normally cover the TE. Likely you'd end up with a LB doubling that WR, which is going to be about as close to useless as you can get. If you're trying to double a major threat, the LB won't do anything other than destroy your blitzing tactics.

In the end, your best option will probably be to keep a fresh corner on him all game (if you have 2-3 good ones) and/or to try to get constant pressure on their QB, which won't be easy if they have a good O-line.
