With the playoffs only 4 games away, the race is on. 6 teams have locked up playoff spots. 4 teams are out of contention. And 6 teams are fighting for the final 2 spots. The focus shifts to positioning for many of the teams in the league at this point but those final two spots are still being highly contested. I have placed all of the remaining games against potential playoff teams in the write ups.

The Clinchers-

Honolulu-
Games of interest- Thunder, Vulcans
The Beach Boys hold home field in their own hands at this point, but must beat the Thunder to keep it that way.

Possum Trot-
Games of interest- Slugs, Virginia, Krakens
The Plague would need HBB to lose two games and win out themselves to take the #1 seed. With arguably the toughest remaining schedule at the top, they still hold their own destiny for the #2 spot but the Thunder are right on their heels.

Timpanagos-
Games of interest- Mighty, HBB
A win against HBB would force a three way tie at the top provided all three teams win out the rest of the way. Otherwise, the Thunder need some help to grab home field after the first round.

Long Beach-
Games of interest- Aurora, Birmingham
Long Beach is holding onto that final home playoff game but the Slugs are right behind them. The tiebreaker belongs to the All Stars, as does the slightly easier schedule. Things look good for Long Beach.

Eugene-
Games of interest- PTP
The Slugs can almost tough that home playoff game, but they need to beat the Plague and hope Long Beach stumbles...unlikely but still possible.

Mighty-
Games of interest- Thunder
The Chihuahuas would need the All Stars and Slugs to falter in order to sneak in for that final home playoff game which may be a little too much to ask for.

Still Alive-

Aurora-
Games of interest- Long Beach, Virginia, Birmingham
The Seminoles would need a total collapse to miss the playoffs this season but two losses including a loss to the Bears would do the trick. They have a tough remaining schedule but I dont think they have to worry about their spot.

Virginia-
Games of interest- Aurora, PTP
The GW's have a great opportunity to move up in the seeding when they face the Seminoles. The winner will be that much closer to securing a spot, while the loser will be hanging on for dear life.

Birmingham-
Games of interest- Long Beach, Aurora
The Bears are grasping for air at this point. Their chances are slim and they need alot of help to have any shot at making the post season.

Houston-
Games of interest- Awesomeville, Birmingham
Houston plays Birmingham this week and would be all but officially eliminated with a loss. They need to beat the bears with the Bearphins looming to end the season.

Chicago-
Games of interest- Mighty
Its going to take a miracle.

Dallas-
Games of interest-Virginia, PTP, 10yd fight
A loss this week to Virginia would mathematically eliminate the Hitmen. A win and the outlook still looks bleak with two very tough opponents remaining.

Eliminated-

Montana
Minnesota
Palmetto
Lakewood

Good write up. And you're right, with an inactive owner, no GM, and no way for the Mods to assign a GM, its going to take a miracle for Chicago to make the playoffs. Worst part is that we wouldn't get new ownership until the day after the Mighty game, which is a game we would need to have a shot.

Good game dubs. I wish we could of made it more interesting maybe next time.

Thanks, GG to you guys. I had no idea what to expect from your team since it was our first meeting. Your strong run defense gave us an oppurtunity to do something different for once and I have to say I was pleased with our performance.

We're hanging in there by a thread or two...We have to win against Minnesota, Montana and Awesomeville though and hope Virginia falls to 8-8 or worse. We love ya GW's, but we love the playoffs even more.

If only we could have snuck one or two of those early season close games and turned them to our favor...

lol! I here you and we have much respect back to you as well, but we're talking playoffs here and the GDubs aren't relinquishing our hold on one of the 2 final playoff spots.

Good luck to you the rest of the way though!
