The obvious answer to this question last season would be Aggresive, but since the season 4 changes I believe that Medium coverage style is way more productive.

Just wondering what type of results other people have seen with each. I set my coverage style to medium two games ago and found myself to be mroe productive. Im not putting up the major stats, but the ball comes my way less often and its been helping my team, imo.

So anybody else recently change from Aggresive to Medium and see a difference in how there CB is playing?

I used Aggressive for the first few games this season, then switched to Medium and found it to be much better all around. Aggressive was letting a lot of passes go through and forcing me to settle for tackles, but Medium gave me a lot of PDs. But a few games ago I boosted, bought a few more levels of Super Vision, and went back to Aggressive.. not much change.

Another thing I've noticed about this season is that I'm getting into a lot more plays away from my receiver.. making a lot of tackles against the run or across the field form where I started.

Edit: Another interesting point, all of my picks (only 3 this season) came while using Medium style.

now that pass deflections is resulting in more incompleteions like they should be...medium is a bit more sound.

Bort has stated that aggresive means going for the int on every pass, and that doesn't sound too practical.

Yeah, I was on aggressive and doing great first 3 seasons... had to switch to medium this season and it helped a lot after Bort's tweaks. I'm still on track for the worse season I've had though.

Just a general note on all of this stuff - I'll be working on balance for a while through testing with the live team data I dumped about a week ago. I think the main problem in perception is that people are seeing the WR still not getting open as often as I'd like, and passes get completed when the dots overlap. This is generally just the WR winning the swat vs catch check. The odds are actually 50/50 if the two guys are even in comparison of those two skill formulas. It's possible the penalty for being covered isn't high enough, or that the fake out delay needs to have a longer delay chance to allow for a little more separation in general.

Also, most of the CB's are playing "aggressive" style in which they will go for the interception every time. This gives them less chance to bat the ball down if they don't make their INT check.

I'm pretty much planning on keeping the sim as is for a while though, unless I find some bugs to fix, since everybody's been complaining about the "moving target" syndrome.
